Author has written 6 stories for Escaflowne, and Kikaider. Sunday, October 25th, 2009 Again, another long stretch! I bet a lot of you are wondering where I've disappeared to, but I actually have just been very, very busy. I'm in my last year and thus am writing my thesis. My summer program left me no time to write, either! Sufficeth to say, I just have been putting all of this on the back burner - where, I have to say, it has to belong right now. I will return as soon as I can to continue writing and completing my stories. I have always said that I will finish them, and I plan on owning up to such promises, even though it's taken so long. I miss this community and writing for it - I hope to come back soon. Until then, please be patient. I'll be with you soon again :) All my love, Cev Occupation: liberal arts honors student specializing in Shakespeare, actor, librarian, teacher (I have many jobs...) Sing A Lullaby: Hitomi has recovered from her near-death experience, with the help of Van. After recovering from her trauma, Hitomi must make a decision: Does she tell Van of their son, Azin? Or does she keep the jig up, risking the ruination of any relationship left with her and her King? Raoul and Millerna show up to try to pull her into making a decision... Summary: When Hitomi goes to Gaea to celebrate Van's sixteenth birthday, a joyous night together leaves Hitomi with a new addition, nine months later! To protect Van's life, and the future of Fanelia, Hitomi is forced to take care of the baby by herself. When certain circumstances on Earth lead her back to Gaea and to Asturia, seeking Millerna's help, Hitomi can no longer hide the truth from a King who's bloody mad that his heir isn't in the right place. Φίλημα των ματιών της μουσικής Baciare Gli Occhi Di Musica Kissing the Eyes of Music (the former two were Greek and Italian, respectively) Chp4 Books? Boxes? Hitomi wonders why things that are not her own have suddenly appeared in her apartment... Summary: Hitomi Kanzaki Degasso and her friends study music at Andante Music and Arts Academy in New England, the most prominent musical and artistical studies school in the world, where the best students from all different countries and regions of the world come to perfect their art. A very strong Catholic through her Spanish grandmother, Hitomi, whose mother refused to support her in her decision to major in dance and music, relies on and lives with her aunt and uncle while she goes to college. Since she is trying to earn her way through the four years, thus she has to work and study a lot to keep up her scholarships. Though engrossed in the night life with her friend, Millerna, Hitomi feels out of place everywhere, no matter how much people accept her. Van Slanzar de Fanel: the smart, beautiful, musical genius from a prominent family in Italy. Van never wanted to come to the arts academy, but family tradition forced him to go and study classical music. However, since his family is a world away, he rebels at every chance he gets (like joining what he tells his parents is an"extracurricular musical group"). The teachers hail him for his skill in classical, but Van loves and mostly studies rock. The son of an Italian man and Greek woman, he's the exotic, aloof guy at the school, who no ones knows anything about except his distant, cold mood and bad reputation, especially with women. When Van is kicked out of his dorm because of a "fiasco", he ends up rooming with Hitomi, to her great displeasure. Hitomi's tight-schedule, tight-studies world is turned upside down from the minute the boy arrives in her family's café. So what kind of music sings out when their two worlds collide? Well, you'll just have to read and find out... A Recollection of Forbidden Love Currently working on chp 4. I'm glad everyone's recieved it well so far. I do have a wonderful editor/beta-reader for this one, the outstanding author Lovewitch. Her story, Forbidden Love, was the one that inspired me to write this. She has given me wirtten consent to use similar themes and ideas in my story, since for now she is 'on hold' when is comes to fanfiction. Summary: Fresh from college, the Valedictorian from Palas University(the hardest college on Gaea to get into), Van Fanel's plans for the future were changed dramatically when he must move back to Fanelia to be with his brother and father during their time of sorrow. Within a period of six months, he becomes a certified teacher and by family ties is pushed into an English teaching position at the nearby private school in the capitol by close friends. Though he's not patient by nature, Van takes the job in stride, preferring a teaching position rather than going to work in his father's law firm, as Gaou would have it. However, an even bigger change comes for Van when he finds that a close childhood friend is actually one of his senior students! Just four years apart in age, it's hard to draw the line with this teacher/student relationship. Especially, Van thinks, when Hitomi's grown into such a wonderful woman. With a maturity that exceeds even people his own age, Van has a hard time considering Hitomi his student. And most of the time, doesn't at all. With their families so close, it's hard to stay away from each other. Hard not to learn how much they still care for one another, just as they did as kids. Their worries, morals, sense, and planned-out-futures are thrown out the window at the first...contact...of...lips. I'll Cry Instead: whew...I thought I'd never get chapter seven out. I haven't even started chapter eight yet (gomen nasai_;;;). This one's taking a back seat since 'Sing a Lullaby' is taking shotgun for a while. Sorry, but it's just where my creativity seems to be flowing lately. Summary: For some strange reason, Hitomi's memory of Gaea has been swept clean from her brain. An odd disease that affects peoples' memory also begins to cloud many Gaeans of Fanelia's true King: Van Fanel. The select few left unaffected rise in resistance, Van and his friends leading the way. But with Hitomi's sudden return, a depressive mood greater than before grip at both hers and Van's hearts. Van travels across Gaea for answers, determined to get Hitomi's memory back, so he can finally settle the dust between them. However, another force has a very different plan of what's in store for Gaea. His Real Love: This is just a two chapter one-shot (would that make it a two-shot?). So to those who have wanted me to write more, I'm sorry to say, but I never planned on writing any more than what's there. Maybe later on I'll get some inspiration to, but don't expect it. I just wanted to make it short and sweet_ Summary: Jiro and Mitsuko finally come to terms with their feelings. And unbeknownst to either, this was all Jiro ever needed to fulfill his strongest wish: to be human. | |||||||||||||
