Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, Host, Pride and Prejudice, Animal Ark Series, and Sailor Moon.

Seen as you’ve found your way here, you seem to have found me out of the fog of obscurity and are faintly interested in me. I’ll give you a little bit of a rundown of myself, if just to make sure I don’t fade back into that hated fog!

My name is Charlotte, which I happen to entirely detest so would much prefer if you called me Elriaen.
My age is not to be revealed but I’ll say I’m still in high school and let you guess from there.
I live in England though clearly I’m not going to say where. I’m sure you wouldn’t have heard of where exactly I live anyway!

I am constantly called mad/weird/strange/odd by my friends and they are great compliments now. I am very laid-back but when I snap, I snap badly. I love laughing and like to be outside but also love the comfort of my own room. I am proudly and openly a geek and have only ever got one C in my life (on a small English test where most other people got Fs, I hasten to add). I dislike most sports, excepting swimming and tennis. My favourite place in the world is a nearby park and my favourite time of the day is dusk.

I am a Christian, a Methodist to be exact. Quite a liberal one though. I love my church and the friends I’ve made thanks to church connections.

My dad is entirely to blame for my love of books and words and I think he considers that one of his greatest achievements. I know I will always owe the countless hours of enjoyment, plus the overlarge vocabulary and good English grades, to him. No one can make me smile more easily or understands me so well.

My mum is the person that, in her own wonderful way, tore me away from my books and told me to experience life a little more. Eternal thanks to her for this, as well as every other thing she has ever done that made me into the unique madness I am now. I am, and will always be, more like her than either of us realise.

My brother, though he probably doesn’t realise it, is the person that most drives me to try to excel. Being five years older than me and incredibly clever anyway, his advantage over me has always made me want to get up to his level. I haven’t yet and don’t think I ever will but I’ll never stop trying while he’s around. Thanks Magic.

My account name, Elriaen, reveals a little of my taste. It was made up, I am (probably overly) proud to say, by me, for an OC of mine from the Lord of the Rings series.

I have never written anything but fantasy and I seriously never expect to write anything but it. I’m now sure I will one day write something other than fantasy because life has a wonderful way of challenging statements like that.

My favourite books include LOTR, Harry Potter, Narnia, Eragon, The Sabriel series, The Books of Pellinor, Artemis Fowl and The Twilight series. I can already hear the gasps at that last one but yes, I am one of those strange and rare people that will openly admit to adoring both J.K.Rowling and Stephanie Meyer.
Aside from fantasy, I am also into historical fiction, Tudor, Roman and Greek eras especially and so also love Phillippa Gregory and Simon Scarrow. I adore the Classics as well; Shakespeare, Miss Austen and Miss C Brontë being among my favourites (though don’t mention that to my friends as they find my love of Shakespeare downright ridiculous). I think I can thank Homer for my first introduction to the timeless epics I now adore and I love him now just as much as I did when I first read him at 10-years-old, hiding in the corner of my primary school’s small library.

My music collection is incredibly eclectic, ranging from Frank Sinatra (a taste picked up from my parents) to Miley Cyrus (that one I owe to one of my best friends). I like all of what I have (surprising that) and am inspired by all of it at different times. The only thing I can say I definitely do not like is rap.

Films again I have strange and wide ranging taste in. I like chic flicks, sci-fi, historical films, fantasy and some war films. However I don’t particularly like kung-fu things and hate most film adaptations of my favourite books. The only book-to-film conversion that I am aware that I like is the three Lord of The Rings films. Oh yes and something I haven’t mentioned, I adore Disney films. I’m not sure if I’m more of an expert on the Harry Potter books or the Disney films. I challenge every one of you reading this to name an animated Disney film I haven’t seen.

My other main interest is sketching. Having got over the common ‘I cannot draw’ mentality last year, I now love drawing characters from my favourite fandoms and attempting some real life stuff of myself, my family and friends. I honestly believe that, just like anything else, drawing is something you have to learn to do and you don’t have to have any kind of incredibly-fantastic-unbelievable-natural-born-talent for it. You just need to notice the things around you and keep trying to sketch and you will eventually be far better at drawing than you ever thought possible.

Favourite Quotes
The pen is mightier than the sword
Ah, music. A magic beyond all that we do here. – Albus Dumbledore
Shoot for the moon. If you miss, you’ll be among the stars. – A friend of mine (she got it from somewhere else, I’ll have to ask where)
You’ll always be my friend. You know too much. – No idea who came up with this but it applies to my best friend and I pretty well.
Engage brain before opening mouth – Again I don’t know whose this is but it is one of my Dad's favourites.
1 out of every 4 people are insane. Look at your three best friends, if it's not them, it's you. – Well somewhere out there, there are 5 lucky groups of 4 sane best friends, because I qualify for insanity myself and seem to have collected 4 similarly qualified best friends.
I am not unusually tall. The rest of the world just needs to stand on a box – My own. :)
Yes I am talking to myself. After all, God knows how funny my insanity is so why should I deny the humour from the rest of the world? – My own again (couldn’t you guess?)

A Poem from “Just So Stories” by Rudyard Kipling

I keep six
honest
serving-men
(They taught me
all I knew);

Their names
are What and
Why and
When

And How and
Where and
Who

A few things about men and women

It is proven that women have a personal need to talk more than double the amount of words men do per day.
It is proven that men have a better sense of direction than women do.
It is proven that women have better peripheral vision than men do.
It is proven that women can read facial expressions and tone differences far more easily than men can.

It has never been proven that men have a personal need to leave the toilet seat up.
It has never been proven that men have any sense that traffic and lights will make a route that is shorter in miles, longer in time.
It has been proven that men can actually develop the peripheral vision required to not gape at attractive women very obviously and follow them with their entire heads as they quit the room.
It has been proven that men know exactly which tone and facial expression is going to;
a) cost them money.
b) ask them to do something (otherwise known as nagging).
c) mean they are going to get lucky.
