Author has written 14 stories for Powerpuff Girls, Invader Zim, Harry Potter, and Keys to the Kingdom. I admit I prefer writing original fiction. But I come back here when I'm out of ideas, or when I feel like indulging in certain fandoms again. Which can be pretty comforting actually. Anyway thank you all for reading. Have a sandvich. Major fandoms and influences (OTPs in brackets): – Harry Potter (DMHG) On Emerald Evanescence: The first version of this fanfic was written and uploaded way back in 2002/03, when I first started out here on FF.net. At that time I thought it was one of my BEST. WORKS. EVAR!!!1 But when I looked at it again recently I realised it was nothing but crap because of my lousy writing style and all the unnecessary angst going on in the story. So I decided to give it an overhaul in an attempt to redeem myself somewhat. (Ahem.) This new version you're reading here won't be perfect either, but I can safely say that it's a HUGE improvement from before. I'm rewriting it to give it the justice I think it deserves, to challenge my oneshot-loving self to write something long and detailed for once, and as thanks to those who have read it before. I don't know how long I'll take to finish the entire story, but I definitely will. Expect an update every couple of months or so. Maybe. (Edit: RL commitments mean I can't update this fic as often as I would have liked. :/ Apologies in advance, and I thank you all for your patience.) Any significant changes between the old and new versions will be added here below whenever they appear: – Chapter 1: Buttercup is the 'middle child', although canonically the three girls are of the same age. For some reason I used to assume she was the youngest simply because the Narrator always announces her name last in the TV series. – Chapter 3: The dowsing scene originally took place in Buttercup’s room, but I ditched that because it was getting repetitive. The new basement location also gave me an excuse to hint of some backstory — though now I wish I’d been less obvious about it. – Chapter 3: This chapter was initially twice as angsty (and unbearable). I changed a huge part of it to something bordering on hysteria, this time in the hope of eventually explaining why Buttercup did what she did in the previous chapters. fictionpress | |||||||
