Author has written 4 stories for Degrassi.

You can call me

Josie, but I mostly sign my reviews and anything else as MJ (Maibe Josie). I'm a former film student and an avid writer. I love to write. Sometimes I go through serious bouts of writer's block but for the most part I find my way back. I'm also an artist, a musician, and a girl. I love to make movies, I love to work with others on scripts, and for the most part, I try to push myself to reach past my potential. I'm a loyal son of a bitch and I'm not afraid to admit it. You mess with my friends and family, you mess with me...

Why I'm HERE:

I love to read, and I most certainly love to write. I used to be a horrible Mary-Sue addict who just wanted to make-out with some Newsies, so believe me, if you've been on here a while, and loved to read some Newsies fanfics you've endured my terrible Mary-Sues. I grew up, realized that I wasn't challenging myself as a writer by trying to keep characters that aren't mine in character, nor was I getting anywhere by making Mary-Sues, or unloveable ones at that, so I started clean, wiped my Mary-Sue's off the internet and fell in love with a character named Eleanor Nash, and from there solely focused on telling her story (or the way saw it) so I've mainly been focusing on Degrassi fanfics and am currently working on my third and final installment in my Elan (Ellie/Sean) series. Once I'm done with that, I don't know where I'll be going with other stories. I come up with many ideas, but not many make it onto the site.

I'm an avid reader and reviewer. I don't always review right away. Sometimes I need a little time to let a story sink in. Or if I think that a writer could use some improvement and some constructive criticism I'll be there with my fingers on the keyboard ready to give my opinion. I love to see writer's improve, and some and many on here know that and I would rather see a writer work to improve than ignore not just mine but critiques from other and I'm not shy of telling someone that a character is OOC or if an idea totally just sucks, or if someone is writing in script format. Don't hate on reviewers that are right.

I Highly Dislike:

Mary-Sues, poor grammar, script format (on FF.Net), and people who don't know how to leave/take reviews.

Allow me to elaborate...Mary-Sues are good for your own personal collection of fanfiction where you can fulfill your fantasies of being with a fictional character. No one else wants to read about you, or your picture perfect character, that everyone loves and whose sole purpose is to mack it on one of the characters. It's pointless. I'll admit it right now, I do it! But I don't post it. Keep your Mary-Sue's to yourself.

Poor Grammar? I think it speaks for it's self. Majority of the time spell check picks them up (spell check = best friend if you don't have a beta reader) it's understandable if you spell the word right but use the wrong one, i.e. their, there, they're (I do it too sometimes, and spell check doesn't pick it up, it's a pain, I know, believe me!) I'm honestly not a nazi about it unless a majority of a fic is grammatical errors, cluttered with spelling mistakes, and just terrible formatting. I only care when it's completely obvious you didn't try to fix mistakes, I'm human even my quick read throughs after writing for what seems like an eternity. Honestly, just try your best to pick up what you can to make it presentable, or get a beta.

Script Format! Grrr please stop writing in script format people, it's not cool. It just proves that you don't know how to use verbs or adjectives. I'm sure most of you don't know it's not allowed, (as are song fics but I don't think that's fair).

Reviews... I love giving and recieving constructive criticism. Don't hate on a review that tries to help you fix your story, take the time to apply it rather than ignoring it because you think someone "dissed" your story. They wouldn't have left a review if they didn't like it or, or wanted to see it better (even some flames are constructive, try asking WHY they didn't like it. If they give you a piss poor answer, ignore them, they're obviously ignorant and have personal issues...and yes, Mary-Sues are annoying, so if you have one, someone will more than likely let you know) I love recieving constructive reviews. I encourage you all to leave me thoughts on what I've written. Even get down and serious with them, let me know how you're connecting with the story... on a side note I ignore reviews that look like this: "OmG!1 i LyKe So LuV uR sToRy!1 pLz UpDaTe !" or anything of the variety, they do nothing to help. Sometimes I don't even leave reviews, I just read. Sometimes I have nothing to say...

Current Projects: (Degrassi Only for now...can't seem to write for anything else)

Reprise // Degrassi: TNG // IN PROGRESS...chapter 10 updated, starting outline for chapter 11

the EmmaEliminator // Degrassi: TNG // thoughts in progress based off of musings of Seanborg.

Playing G.I. Joes // Degrassi: TNG // outline in progress. Not expected to be posted until after Reprise is finished. It's an AU Post DYWM with Sean joining the Army. Ellie's Dad coming home and her and her mother moving on base as he is reassigned to home duty training recruits. Events from JG occur earlier, Caitlin offers Ellie a chance to prove her worth in journalism, and Ellie does a special piece on soldiers.

Amy Fic // Degrassi: TNG // thoughts in progress. Based off of the character development I gave Amy through the Elan Trilogy, it may not happen, but the thoughts to write one are there.

Chaos // Tribe Fic // season one near completion and will be posted soon. Fic based off of my determination to believe that Zoot did not die. Most plots during the series are canon, some are just slight fraying from Canon plots, but it's mostly all the same, but the things you DIDN'T see happening. All explained in the fic. YES THERE IS AN OC. But she's not Mary-Sueish, I promise. Most Tribe fans are fairly welcoming to OCs.
