I have been away from FFN and fanfic for a while now, but I have returned to complete "These Qualities." I'm getting things in order and re-reading the whole story before I start Chapter 13, but I should start it on May 29 or so. I can usually knock out about 3000 words in an hour or two so we'll see if I have some time to concentrate this weekend and if all goes well, there should be a nice shiny new chapter before the weekend is out!

Anise - That is a good observation. I have sort of purposefully not put too much about the War in because Susan Moody's book was so overwhelmed with the war imagery and I didn't want it to overtake the story of the friends and the new romance. I have been toying with the idea of putting in a lot more stuff, though.
