Normally I have here “hello from sunny Queensland,” but at the moment I am residing in the frosty depths of inland NSW for study. I would wave in greeting but I think my hand’s frozen to the keyboard...

So, about me.

I’m nineteen, vertically challenged, and a bit of a nerd. I love any good action/thriller movies and I like most sci-fi, depending on how good it is.

I’m a very philosophical person and can usually be found staring into space or watching something - animals, the sky, grass, people - you name it, I watch it. Why do I watch things, you ask? Well because things are always more interesting than they first appear; you just have to catch the story behind it.

I’m currently studying at university for two bachelors, in zoology and palaeobiology. I want to specialise in systematic zoology, which is basically using the fossil record to classify animals. I am also quite interested in astronomy and psychology, but animals will always be my main passion. Oh, and David Attenborough is amazing.

I absolutely adore guinea pigs (cavies) and do a pretty damn good impersonation of a guinea pig sound. I’m subscribed to a whole bunch of cavy rescue organisations back home, and just want to adopt them all! I’ll be like the crazy cat lady but with guinea pigs. I also rather love tapirs, particularly the Malaysian species. Favourite invertebrates are jellyfish, tardigrades, nudibranchs and mantids. I am a vegetarian and animal rights activist, and if you want to know why, then watch the movie Earthlings and/or Forks Over Knives.

If I could have a prehistoric pet it would be without a doubt an archeopteryx. Though second choice would be either a brachiosaurus or some other ginormous herbivore that I could ride around. If I could go anywhere in the world it would be South America; I friggin' love the place, always wanted to go there. Learning a musical instrument would be the piano!

I love writing, clearly. I had a spell of not writing for over a year so I’m not as good now as I used to be, but I’m slowly getting better! One day I'll write fanfics about something other than Primeval, but for the time being I have too many plotbunnies from that show.
