Junior History major at Williams College (go purple and gold!) and rabid fan of Buffy, Angel, Star Trek: Deep Space 9, Highlander, Farscape, Earth: Final Conflict, and Passions.
I began watching Passions a little over three-and-a-half years ago because I heard it was the most outrageous soap ever, and I was amused by the long-running BtVS joke of Spike being obsessed with it. I started by making fun of it, and little by little found that I'd been hooked by its likeable absurdity.
BtVS/AtS 'ships: Spike/Drusilla (sorry, but I couldn't stand Spuffy), Cordelia/Angel, Xander/Anya, Wes/Lilah and Wes/Fred.
DS9 'ships: not that important to me on this show, but I did like Kira/Odo and Worf/Jadzia. Overall, my favorite characters were Kira and Sisko, although I love almost everyone, including the great recurring cast. My notable exception is Ezri, whom I loathe with a vengeance, and nothing, not even her baffling degree of popularity in online fandom will change that.
Highlander: Methos is awesome, Joe is cool, hate Richie, Amanda is great, and how can you not love Duncan? I'm not into slash, so I don't really 'ship for Methos, so my favorite pairing is the wonderful Duncan/Amanda.
Farscape: Love the entire cast, but my favorite character is Aeryn, with Pilot coming in second. My favorite 'ship of of all time in ANY fandom has got to be John/Aeryn.
Earth: Final Conflict: hate all the humans except the original cast, LOVE the Taelons. Zo'or is my hero.
Passions:
Favorite characters: Tabitha, Timmy (God rest his soul), Endora, Kay, Ivy, Julian (not so much anymore--he's turned into a jerk AND a wimp), Rebecca, Gwen, and Fox.
Least favorites: Charity, Grace, Simone (although I like the new actress so we'll see), TC, Miguel, Antonio, Chad (although I might like him if he had a halfway decent actor), and, much as I used to like her, Liz.
Pairings: Gwen/Ethan (only since Liza and Eric have so much chemistry AND only if Ethan somehow grows a brain and a spine and lets Theresa have it), Sam/Ivy (I used to not like Sam very much, but he's been a new man since Grace left), Eve/Julian (not so much anymore, ever since he's been an ass to Fox), Therox (though I don't see them as a possible "true love" anymore--more as potential scheming partners in crime), Fox/Kay (a pairing that would've saved Fox from the soporific Foxney and Kay from the depths of non-storyline purgatory), and Shuis (but only if they get to do fun stuff and don't mope and yap about true love).
