Author has written 70 stories for Bones, Stargate: SG-1, NCIS, Firefly, Castle, Farscape, and Stargate: Atlantis. I had Vala say this in a story and now I realise that I need to start taking my own advice. A normal person says she has voices in her head telling her to do crazy things, she's thrown into a padded room, never to see daylight again. A writer says the same thing and everyone calls it creativity. Writing: the perfect excuse for insanity. Hope to have a new chapter up soon. Family Bonds: I've got the rest of this story sketched out. Only 4 more chapters and a prologue to go. I'll likely write it all before posting it, though. What If...: That's going...somewhere...I think. Still working out the mechanics, though. Misc. works: I'm working on my companion to Glimpse and my sequel/companion to Guessing Game. Series: I don't know if you've noticed, but I've got a few new series up here. My Five Series, Idiom Series and, the newest one, Oh Mamma are all going to be periodically added to. I have no set time-frame. I'm just writing things as they hit me. Other things you may or may not want to know about me: My muse's name is Wilma. Say hi, Wilma! "..." Sorry, she's kinda the silent type when the sun is actually up. I love anything Sci-Fi (in an almost obsessive way) I love classic film and music I love to learn new languages I am proud to be a nerd. I am a word-nerd. I love to find new words in many languages and use them whenever possible. I am very honest, some say to a fault. I make no appologies for who I am. My sister refers to me as the female Tony DiNozzo. Everything seems to remind me of a song or a movie. What I say may seem random to you, but I've already worked out a clean path in my mind from our discussion about Einstein's theory of relativity to the moment I blurt out something about the Smurfs. I don't do politically correct. I prefer to stand out rather than blend in. I want to be Diana Trent when I grow up. What I love most about writing is that I can watch the complete series of "Gilligan's Island" and call it research. I don't like pie or jello. I often talk to myself. The voices in my head have really fantastic ideas. I am easily distra...ooo, chickens! I love it when an idea for a story that's been giving nothing but trouble for days finally pops into my head at 0500...on a Sunday. I've discovered that if you say a word too often it starts to lose its meaning. I really am my own worst critic. While I may be a total tech-nerd, I still prefer to write my first draft with pen and paper. I don't get earworms. I just have a playlist constantly on shuffle in my head. I often find myself taking on the posture of the character I am writing about. And, let me tell you, going from Vala's POV to Teal'c's is murder on my back. I tend to do my best writing between 2200 and 0630. So you can see that I never sleep. The thesaurus is my favourite book. I am a master procrastinator. If you get mail from Gary the Snail, is it snail mail? I have a notebook full of ideas. I just need to turn them into actual stories. I have been writing for more than half my life and I still get amazed at how a word, a phrase, or a simple comment can trigger a story idea. I actually have a dictionary preference. Yes, I am that much of a nerd. Writers don't see the world the same way other people do. The people around us become characters, buildings become background, the birds in the trees become ambiance. About my writing: I find fanfiction to be one of the most freeing writing experiences I've ever had. There is no pressure or temptation to publish for profit so I can just write for myself without having to worry whether an editor is going to like it. These stories I post here are done for me. That's not to say I don't enjoy getting feedback, but I like the idea that, in the end, it doesn't really matter what anyone else thinks because I enjoyed writing it.same. Vids: I've started posting some of my vids on youtube. Most of them are really old and have never actually been seen by anyone other than my best friend and my sister. The best friend is the on who decided it was time for me to share them. It's taken a lot of convincing but I'm finally doing it.
