Author has written 13 stories for Halo, Warhammer, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scroll series, and Total War series.

Okay, I'm big_cheddars(I know my pen name is big cheddars but that's only because ff.net doesn't let you put underscores in pen names) I am pretty normal, as normal goes, I am a big Halo fan, and as a result most of the stories I post on here will be about Halo, since I'm no good at writing anything other than action and description and all the other time eras im interested in are lame(18th century, colonisation, stuff like that, rise of the British empire etc.) I go to a fairly normal school in Swindon, a fairly normal town in England, apart from the fact it is infested with that most rare and annoying breed of human called chav!!!!

But yeah, I will probably mainly write Halo stories, but finding inspiration and ideas for them may be hard. I would like to look at other parts of the covenant than the elites, which all the stories about the Covenant seem to write about(well, the ones ive read anyways), maybe looking at the hunters or the society of jackals, that would be interesting. But there you go, that's me, I hope you like the stories I write, and if you can be bothered to go on this profile to read what it says, I hope you enjoyed reading about me :)

Also, I should probably mention games I like, since that seems to be a fairly important part of an Author's profile page, so here goes: Assassin's Creed, my abolute favourite franchise (probably) because of the amazing story and the way the developer's have spun the facts of history into a huge conspiracy; Halo, an absolutely amazing set of games coupled with the best future universe I have ever seen, Halo's universe is so rich in history, culture, drama and cool aliens I find it irresistible and brilliant (sorry I sound like a reviewer); Total War, the formula CA have made for a good RTs game is brilliant, and I'm never sure which part of Total War games I like the most, the action-packed real-time battles or the scale of the Strategic Map ['So, if I send this spy and kill this king, a huge war of succession will start between great Britain, Sweden and Prussia, why not ;)] That was an example of what you can do in Empire Total War, my favourite of all the games. Which is kinda messed up cause even though my old crate can't even run it I know more about the game than most veterans do, having watched so much footage of it; Star Wars, if you don't know any of the reasons why this is one of everyone's favourites, you simply have never experienced the best Sci-Fi series in the history of Man, period, and I don't wanna sound fanboyish, cause that was an impartial statement. George Lucas' vision is so fleshed out, and so real, that when you watch the movies you really can imagine being there :) and Lucasarts have converted this into some spectacular games over the past fourty years, like Battlefront, KOTOR and the Force Unleashed; Warhammer, for its brilliant background, its Space Marines and it's huge battles that really give you a sense of how meaningless life is in the 41st Millenium.

Well, that was my favourite games that I can think of right now (it is 1 in the morning, I am excused, I think..) and some stuff about me, now for some warnings and some other stuff I think is necessary:

Due to my inherently lazy nature [a lot of writers say they are lazy, but I really mean it, I'm like genius IQ and I'm coasting through school at B's, I am that lazy] :/, I will probably never get around to organising a regular updating schedule, writing requires mental effort, and I only have so much of that, plus it means being on my computer, which makes my never-ending quest to lose weight harder. So basically, never expect miracles or stories being written in four weeks and updated daily to feed my voracious readers, I don't work like that, I will write a story,. get bored, leave it to rot, start another story, get bored and leave that to rot, and occasionally I might finish it. About twenty thousand words will probably be my biggest achievement, since I wrote an eight thousand word one in a couple of months, and i don't think I would have the dedication to write for more than that. Errm, I think that is it, so for a grand finale, I will present you with a conundrum, the top of this page was written around August 2010, and this sentence was finished on the 29/8/11 a year later, that is how lazy I am, it took me about twenty minutes to type it all, just spread over a very long period ;)

Thing: Due to what I have just revealed, you will realise my first profile update was written nine months before most of the rest of this page, such as the favourite games, the warnings and this paragraph here, yet again I am highlighting my inability to finish something quickly (unless it's a chocolate bar, or food of any kind) so I will reiterate once again, DO NOT EXPECT MIRACLES, OR REGULAR UPDATES, OR JESUS TO DESCEND UPON THE EARTH AGAIN, DEAD MEN ARE DEAD, PERIOD.

Profile update-3/11/10

Okay people, I've been working on another story for about two days now, again a one shot, like my first one, but its based on the firefight map outpost(look it up on halopedia) on Halo:Reach, and it has some quite cool characters. Check it out, cause I think its a damn good story, if I do say so myself, its much longer than my previous story, being six pages in length so far (I'm anticipating about 9 when its finished) [Update: ended up being 12!]

Profile update 7/5/11 just after 0:00 in the morning

NER NER NER NER STUFF STUFF. Many of you, if you look at the thing which says that I have written X amount of stories for X amount of topics, will notice that it says i have written stories for total war, errrr... warhammer, Halo and something else, I think. The Halo ones are good, the warhammer one is good but lacks depth, the total war opening thing isn't bad, but nothing will ever come of it, and the lotr one (I remembered what it was! :D) is total crap that I might just delete.

Profile update 29/8/11 just after 1 in the morning (don't criticise me, I work best when I'm tired :P)

Okay, I was playing AC Brotherhood multiplayer earlier and it got me back into an Assassiney mood, and i started reading fanfics on here about AC, then i saw you could choose to narrow the search down to stories containing the Assassin Recruits, so I thought "Hey, that's one of my favourtie parts of AC Brotherhood so I'll look at it" So i did and I found that these stories are really cool (when written by a good author) and the Recruits theme leaves a lot of room for expansion and errr whats the word... creative licensing, I think :). And then I remembered what I did last time I was on holiday in France, I started writing a fanfic based on an Assassin Recruit. I already have two chapters written for this story (seriously, I didn't have my xbox or computer or an ice rink, writing was all I could do to amuse myself) I did have most of a third chapter written, but I deleted it accidentally, and then rewrote practically all of it the next day. So, chapter one will be up tonight after some formatting and proof-reading, and chapter 2 might be up later this week if I remember, I am a teenage boy, I have other commitments [girls] multiple ones [I still mean girls].

Oh yeah, I hope in the rest of this profile page I haven't come across as arrogant, but I'm a bit tired and I'm in the mood to act a little crazy, my writing style is not like my blogging one, so rest easy :P

Profile update 30/8/11 (00:15 AM)

Hey guys, second profile update in a while, Chapter 3 of my AC story WILL be up tonight, once I've finished it. It's heavy on action, and my coolest yet, so check it out if you've come here after reading one of my stories. On another, slightly annoying note, I'm going back to school on Friday, year 11, so apparently this will be a hectic year for me. It just seems shorter, with more work crammed in, to me, but whatever, school isn't really my forte. However, since this is the year with all my crucial exams, I'm gonna actually have to work to get those A's I've been predicted (they were A*'s but most of my teachers have given up on me, which was a bit of a shock :( ). So after Chapter 3 and any other Chapters I manage to get done this week, I will see what school is like, and see if putting the story on hold is a good idea, cause I just don't know how busy I'm gonna be, but I have a lot of commitments. I won't be able to stay up really late in the mornings writing, so progress will be much slower, and my normal routine of school, ice skating, scramble to get homework done, repeat will take priority. So, basically, readers, life is gonna be busy for me, so I'll get as much done now as I can. Thanks for reading all of that, it was long-winded, but it was necessary.

Profile update 18/9/11 (17:33 PM)

Guys, this update is mainly about my Assassin's Creed story, or rather, lack of it. Since I've been back at school for two weeks, I haven't been able to do any writing, I am simply overworked with homework and coursework, it's not stressful or anything. But it does mean that any updates will likely be few and far between. I will finish this story though, I don't care how long it takes me, but I'll finish it. I already have some plans for a sequel once Revelations is released, in a new setting (Constantinople, if you live under a bridge and don't know where the new game is set). So yeah, to reiterate, progress on Assassin's Creed: Recruits has slowed to a crawl, most of my work on it will likely be done in the holidays, so don't get your hopes up for a chapter a week or something :)

Profile update 21/12/11 (18:15 pm)

Happy Christmas everyone! Four days left, and this will be my last update before the end of the year. :) Well, since I'm on holiday, I've spent the last three days just reading and writing warhammer 40k stories. I've got, errr, three on the go right now. Two are novella sized, and the other is just a short one-shot that will be finished probably by the end of tonight. I've decided that this one-shot will just be a... can't remember the exact name but the level below short story, micro story or something :L It willl be between 1500 and 2000 and will be heavily focussed on action, because I'm bored of characterisation and deep, thoughtful, engaging openings. I want to write about people dying. So, that'll be probably up by tomorrow, cause they take like 8 hours or something to register :L So, that's everything, enjoy. I'm getting a Kindle for Christmas, so expect my writing to improve as I'm gonna read all the black library books about the IG so I'll have more ideas and a better understanding of how to write them. :) I can't wait, I'll see you on the other side, readers :)

Profle update 23/1/12 (00:00)

Hey guys. Just uploaded another short story, this is an Elder Scrolls one, since I've been playing Skyrim a lot lately and I had this awesome gem of an idea. This story is about 3000 words long, and I've realised that I can comfortably write something like that in a weekend. In fact, most of that story was written on the Sunday (and I started and planned it late on the Saturday). Therefore, next weekend I'm gonna try and write something else. I don't know what yet, depends what I'm doing that inspires me, but it might involve some more Skyrim (perhaps the same characters from this TES fic) or it might be Warhammer. I know I won't be playing/reading anything else next week. I've got two exams next week (one today, in fact, and one on Thursday), so wish me luck. Next weekend I'm gonna be buying some new Warhammer books and reading them. Most probably C.L Werner's 'Grey Seer', since I wanna learn more about the skaven. So perhaps a fic this weekend might not happen, but maybe the week after I'll write something involving skaven. I like short stories, and I've got to be honest if I put my mind to them I can get them written quite quickly. So I hope you guys enjoy 'The storming of Fort Sungard'. On another, less positive note, 'Purge the Xenos' is on hold atm. Since its more of a novella, its really hard to write for it, so perhaps in the easter holidays that might get finished. I hate leaving things unfinished, but school just saps my time nowadays. I can't even skate this week because I'll be revising for maths :( But oh well. Peace, readers :)

Profile update 26/1/12 (22:24)

Safe bruv, just a quick update on something I only recently thought of. I've noticed that I'm replying to pretty much every review I get now, and that's mainly because such reviews are gems and I love having them. So I've decided that from now on I will reply to every review I get. I'm gonna do this because I like to find out my readers' thoughts on how I could improve, and I especially criticism. I don't usually get things wrong, or do something the readers think is bad, but if you read it and give me some constructive feedback, usually I try to resolve it by changing the story 9as in small typos) or explaining the decisions I made. I like my readers to be involved in the evolution of a story, and I like criticism (constructive though). So I'll reply to all my reviews, and hopefully you as the reader won't mind me replying to your review. Oh and in a couple of weeks I'll be resuming work on 'Purge the Xenos?' Because I actually have time available since my early exams are nearly over. Gonna buy 'Grey Seer' next Thursday and read it (my mum won't let me buy it this weekend as I have two more exams next week), but once I've read it I'll write something concerning Skaven and then I'll go back to 'Purge the Xenos?'. That story needs telling, Korvydae is such an awesome character, and if I had read the Ciaphas Cain books I would think they were slightly similar (apart from the fact that Korvydae is brave, unlike Cain).

Profile update 14/2/12 (11:29)

Hey guys, if you've been following my writing for any length of time now, you'll realise that I do my best writing at Christmas (as evidenced by the multitude of things I started over last year's Christmas period), and guess what; I'm on holiday again! So, five days into my holiday and two stories up already, both short one-shots, but fun to write. Also, a fellow writer called Pixo and me are planning to finish 'Purge the Xenos?' together and hopefully a revised version of the first few chapters will go up by the end of this holiday. I'm excited for this, because I love the character that I created (Klaus Korvydae) and what happened in the events of 'purge the Xenos?' was a turning point for him, filled with revelations and unexpected friendship, and I really wanna tell that story. Also, I want to write something else focussed on the skaven, but right now I'm stuck for ideas. But I will find something! So have a good break guys, if you're on half-term like me, and look forward to new writing :)
