I wanted to create their respective closures on Kenshin and Kaoru's deaths with a different approach, hence the point-of-view from a very minor character. Ayame's angst weaves thickly around Kenji, Sanosuke, Yahiko, Tsubame, Megumi, Aoshi and Misao, incorporating a lot of deep reminiscence of hers as my heartfelt tribute to them.
