Hey, so I finally got around to changing my penname on here to something relevant, instead of a faded relic of a long-ago dead era time that time itself forgot in a locked bathroom stall bearing a sign that reads "Beware the leopard".
A few of my tales have pr0n versions on AFF.net, under the shorter penname 'Smiley'. If you have trouble finding them, drop me a line.
Update 9-22-08:
Regarding my stories in progress:
So I started Liquid Diet, the Sandi-as-a-vampire fic. I'm still not sure where I want to ultimately end up with it, but I've got a few delightful things planned. Though I'm not sure if vampirism will be supernatural or rational in this one...
As I reported in the notes for Liquid Diet Ch1, I'm waiting on my reading guy to read the next chapter before I post it. After that, I figure I'll write up an epilogue and that'll be that.
I've been pondering doing a werewolf fic. I always liked the one done by Canadibrit -- a shame it wasn't longer or sequelized or whatnot.
I also love Two Girls, One Financial Institution. It's based off a premise a friend and I came up with a while ago -- a story in which everybody is a bank manager. Of course, I decided to make this story in particular a bit more realistic (having the protagonist and antagonist only be bank managers), but who knows what the future will bring. I'm thinking about giving the story multiple branches, each full of wacky shit.
I'm considering giving up Manse Griffin and Duck and Cover altogether. I wanted Manse Griffin to be a moody ghost story, and while it's not a ghost story, Schismatic is definitely very moody. (And Manse Griffin is not. Well, at least the first chapter isn't. I don't know, I'm just in the thinking stage). And I'm no longer sure what I want to do with Duck and Cover. The whole premise seems less than great to me now.
Thinking about using my blog ( bearswithangst.blogspot.com ) to sound off about writing, fics, and Daria fic in particular. It sure isn't seeing much use otherwise these days.
Thinking about the future of Young Switcheroo. Nothing in particular, just different plot ideas and such. I think the next chapter will focus primarily on This Year's Model, or maybe Lab Brat.
Also started a new iCarly fic, iDolatry. (The one review I've gotten for it so far is the best review I've ever received, in fact). I imagine it'll only go on for one or two more chapters, though.
I started a new Monk story entitled Mr. Monk's Excrement Adventure, the sequel to my previous fic Mr. Monk's Excellent Adventure. It's going to be a blast!
Finished Mart of the Dead. Woot!
I keep wondering how far I'll actually get with The Young Switcheroo. I really like writing it, fa sho. Well, who knows.
Not related to a fic, but: I just watched an interesting documentary on the Japanese WWII atomic program, and it says that they actually detonated an A-bomb of their own days after Hiroshima and Nagasaki got scratched. Alas, as the bomb factory was in occupied Korea, it was disassembled and stolen by the Soviets. Gosh, I love little historical obscurities like that.
Fashion Zombies is, I think, not very good. I'd like to get rid of it and sometime in the future restart it during the episode 'Too Cute'. I've actually got some of FZv2 written, but not much.
Extracirricular Activities is in a holding pattern at the moment. I'd like to finish it someday, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about doing this. It might require a thorough rewrite in the first chapter or two, since I started it off with the intent that it'd be a smutty trollfic, but it evolved past that.
Daria vs. Abraham Lincoln is also in a holding pattern currently. I'm not sure where I want to go with this (except that Daria and Upchuck will probably end up together).
The Lawndale Manifesto is a bit flawed as it stands right now. The chapter was more 'proof of concept' than anything; I'd probably have to rewrite what I have before I could continue it.
Survivor Diet is, for a change, something I know what I want to do with, but I'm not exactly sure on how to proceed with that.
The Quiet Ones is something I wrote out of the blue, and I really have no idea if I should let it stand or continue with it. I'd like to continue it, what with Daria being a nonchalant murderer and Quinn enabling her. I think it'd be quite fun. But I don't really know how to proceed.
A Little Problem is becoming harder and harder (lol) to write for, since it's so hard (lol) to get a good joke out of the material. I also don't know if I should pair Daria off with Jane or Upchuck. Hm...
Manse Griffin is yet another fic where I don't quite know what I'm doing but for a few murky parts. We'll see how this develops.
Duck and Cover...I used to have a fairly solid plan for this one, until my friend pointed out some stuff. Now, I'm thinking about doing a complete change in what happens in the next chapter. This change would probably end the fic prematurely, but I'd rather write short good stuff than long bad stuff.
Other stuff: I've been toying with crossovers between 24 and Daria, and Heroes and Daria. I've seen snippets and one-shots of both on the PPMB, but I'd rather do my own -- in theory, I'd like to write a whole season's worth. (You know, I'd probably post on the PPMB a lot more if I wasn't so uber shy. Go figure.)
