My reasons for disliking:

-Lavi X Lenalee Lee(Lavilena or Lenavi, whichever)

So, I take it you're pissed the shit outta me right now, eh? You think that this is one of the most posible pairings in DGM, if not the most posible, and you're ready any second now to click on my PM button and write me some shit about this being TEH BEST PAREE IN OLL OV -MEN, the message being capitalized, bolded and italiced, maybe even underlined.

Well, newsflash, babes, it ain't posible, and I'll tell you why.

Okay, so, the first thing every Lenavi fan says about this couple is that they have the most anime moments.

BUT:

That doesn't mean they make a good pair.

The quantity of moments a couple has throughout the series doesn't mean as much as people think it doesn't. Because, one moment when their relationship is revealed non-romantic in one way or a another could make AAALL of those 'moments' look like something to 'fill in the blanks', and later you'll find out why in Lenavi's case it's like that.

- They're ANIME moments.

By anime moments I mean a good number of them could be only fillers/not in the manga, which makes them non-canon, in Lenavi's case, most moments they had WEREN'T in the manga, the only ones in it making them look only like proof as to the fact that Lavi cares more about his friends than he should, and that he has some emotional distance.

- That ain't entirely true.

I will focus more on the manga here, so, I'm not going to try and act like some asshole who only wants to prove how awesome ANY other couple is, but, I've seen a lot more other pairings that have something to do with Lavi and/or Lenalee moments than Lenavi's share of 'romantic' moments. I will not name them because I'll sound just like that kind of asshole I mentioned above to you, and/or this argument will sound like I'm comparing a certain couple/s to Lenavi in order to prove how great it is, and that isn't exactly what most who do what I do want to be thought of.

- They have a fair share of moments where their relationship is proven NON-ROMANTIC.

I'm not point a finger towards a certain deep non-romantic relationship besides friendship, note that.

But really, am I the only one who notices these moments?:

1.When Lenalee and Allen 'woke up' from their staring at each other, Lavi doesn't seem to be bothered with it, heck, he even TEASED Allen for the fact that he cried because of the fact that Lenalee forgave him(and/or so, like, the fact that he saw her being so darn gentle), as in, because he showed some feelings for Lenalee that are way above friendshippy and maybe a BIT(depends on how you see it) bellow romantic.

I'm not saying Lavi should be jealous or anything familiar, but, if you tease someone for something affectionate they did to your apperant 'love interest' and/or talk trash about them while they're absent, that means that that person can't be your love interest, because you're /either/ showing that you don't care if someone else 'touches' yor 'love' /and/or/ you dislike them enough to speak bad things about them/her/him/.

And before you say something in the line of 'But Lavi was teased too!', yes, he was, but that didn't speak anything about Allen because he didn't even know about what had happened during their 'cruise'. Besides, Lenalee only did that to 'protect' Allen from the future Bookman.

2.When Lenalee 'died', he yelled as loud as he did for Sachiko/Cho's death.

Considering the fact that he new Sachiko for only a few days(not even that long if I recall), he must either really dislike Lenalee for the most part, but has learned to like her, OR Cho's persona attracts him more than Lenalee's, and, there's a bit of non-canon characterization here, but, he wanted to have a woman/girl romantically involved in his life, so since Lenalee was the only one around with an even slightly likeable personality(this is for a weeks after he joined the Order), he chose her, but, he had a hard time even falling in love with her, and he doesn't care much about their 'romantic' relationship, but there's still some feel he has for her. But, when Cho came into his life, he found her personality more likeable, and within the time he knew her he developed the same feelings he has for Lenalee, because he only knew her for a short time, and he couldn't fall in love with her that fast(Note: That skirt-chaser ain't Lavi, he hides his real emotions and I doubt an intelligent person like him could be so...so...sex-obsessed, if that's the correct word).

So far, the story I made there seems a lot more logical than Lavi and Lena's relationship being practically the same as Allen and Lena's, or better yet, Lavi looking like he's supposed to be some livelyier version of Allen,

if you don't get what I mean:

Allen:

-cares a lot about Lenalee

-hides his real emotions

-has a funny side, but doesn't show it much(he's literally a clown)

-is constantly tortured by his teacher

-is the main character

-is disliked by Kanda

Lavi:

-cares a lot about Lenalee

-hides his real emotions

-has a funny side, shows it when he has the chance

-is tortured by his teacher whenever he 'deserves' it

-was going to be the main character called Book-Man

-is "disliked" by Kanda

If you don't know what I mean, then I'll say it: Hoshino makes every character original and hard-to-imagine-and/or-see in real life, if Lavi and Allen have so much in common, along with the fact that they're both part of the Four/Six Main Char-s in the series, it just means that Hoshino is lazy or gone crazy, while, if the way Lavi and Allen view their feelings towards the brunette is different and makes them look like Ying and Yang, then that means that Hoshino is doing her job. I'm in no way saying I'm a better writer than Hoshino, for me, no one is, I'm just saying my way of viewing the pairing's relationship makes more sense if you think about it, I don't care if you think I sound arrogant, it's the truth.

3.When they were in that room during the L4 Akuma fight, they didn't even have a hint of a romantic moment.

...Unlike Allen and Lenalee, who were in another room for less time, and yet it seemed that Allen wanted to stay with the brunette for a longer time and/or she wanted to. I don't want to sound like 'Allena is best' or so, but I'm comparing what another Lena couple did just for you to see how non-romantic it proves their(L&L's) relationship to be.

4.Lenalee doesn't seem to care about Lavi's current absence.

So far, in the manga, I saw only one line were Lenalee showed concern for Lavi being missing, and that same sentence was also dedicated to Allen and Kanda's absence.

For now, she seems WAAAY more concerned about what's going on with Allen and Kanda, than Lavi, and that leads to her either:

-not caring too much about Lavi

-loving/being more attached to Allen and Yuu than Lavi

And since the second choice seems more Lena-like, I'll go with that.

And BTW, that proves my point about moments not being the main thing that makes a couple good, since she likes/admires/etc/whichever A&K more than Lavi, despite their large amount of apperant 'moments' together.

SO now you know why I dislike Lavilena/Lenavi, and I hope the points I made are valid, or better yet, you agree with them and/or thought of the same thing after reading the manga and watching the anime.
