Author has written 32 stories for Harry Potter. Realmente considero que iba siendo hora de actualizar esto, ya que ya hace varios años que no tengo 20 añitos. (English version down) En fin, como esto es una bio, empezaré por el principio. Mi nombre real es Irene (lógicamente, no es que me matase demasiado con el nick xD), y tengo 23 años, aunque cumpliré 24 el 14 de Octubre. Soy libra, y como nací en 1984, del signo de la rata en el horóscopo chino. Soy bastante racional, y me encanta buscar explicaciones lógicas a todo lo que me rodea, pero también me encantan las leyendas y las historias fantásticas, por eso me informo sobre horóscopos y lo considero un dato a tener en cuenta. Nací, crecí y vivo en un pueblecito del sur de Galicia, a unos 20 kilómetros de la ciudad de Pontevedra, pero mi sueño es transladarme a la capital de mi preciosa nación, Santiago de Compostela. Es la ciudad mágica por excelencia, tiene tantas leyendas y mitos que no sabría ni por donde empezar a investigar. Como ya dije, me encantan las ciencias y la investigación, las explicaciones lógicas y las deducciones, los juegos lógicos y acertijos matemáticos. Por eso estudié para ser Técnico de Laboratorio de Diagnóstico Clínico, ya que era lo que mejor me proporcionaba algo que investigar mientras me dedicaba a otra de mis pasiones: ayudar a los demás. Tengo muchas vocaciones, desde enfermera hasta traductora, pero quizá el dedicarme a la investigación en un laboratorio sea mi Gran Sueño Inalcanzable. Por circunstancias de la vida, al terminar mis estudios de Laboratorio decidí estudiar para ser Maestra de Educación Primaria, carrera que terminé hace poco, y para la que estoy preparando oposiciones. Estoy en una época de tránsito en mi vida. Además me fascinan los idiomas, hablo un poquito de alemán y otro poquito de francés, y terminé inglés en la Escuela Oficial de Idiomas. En cuanto a mis hobbies… me fascina la música. En mi reproductor de audio puedes encontrarte (literalmente) cualquier cosa. Tengo unos cuantos favoritos, encabezados por Mägo de Oz, Muse, Radiohead, Iván Ferreiro y Shakira, pero hay muchos, muchísimos más que también me encantan. También me gusta mucho el buen cine, pero especialmente las películas de terror… ¡me dan miedo! Pero me encanta tener miedo Ahí me muevo un poco por directores, y me quedo con Amenábar, Shyamalan y Burton, por supuesto. Como buena autora también me encanta leer… tengo unos cuantos autores favoritos, como son Jane Austen, Stephen King, Ken Follet, Tolkien, alguno de Dan Brown… y unos cuantos libros favoritos, como ‘El señor de las moscas’, ‘Lolita’ y ‘El ocho’. Ni Harry Potter es mi colección de libros favorita (ai va El señor de los anillos, creo yo) ni JKRowling es mi autora favorita. Pero desde luego a ella debo agradecerle muchas cosas, no siendo la menor de ellas el hecho de que inventase ese universo en el que, literalmente, cabemos todos. Quizá el fenómeno del fanfiction sea lo mejor que se le ha dado a los adolescentes (y no tan adolescentes) del mundo en los últimos tiempos, la posibilidad de explorar tus capacidades creativas sin sonrojo. Cuando los gobiernos y los ministerios promocionen concursos de creatividad como el fanfiction y el fanart, sabré que estoy en el paraíso. Mi musa y mentora en el mundo del fanfiction es Silverfox, a la que le debo mi fascinación por Severus Snape. Para mi ella es una de las mejores escritoras de fanfiction que existe. Silverfox es mi musa porque me inspiro en lo que ella escribe, mi mentora porque con ella me motive y aprendí a escribir, pero además es mi amiga en el sentido personal…. ¿qué más se le puede pedir a un libro que unir así a dos personas? Creo que eso es lo más importante que le debo a Harry Potter, la gente a la que he conocido en el universo del fanfiction. Todos y cada uno de ellos son especiales para mi, porque todos me han proporcionado algo, y desde aquí les mando un saludo y un abrazo muy fuerte. Bueno, hoy creo que es más que suficiente. I really consider that it was about time that I updated this, because it was a few years ago when I was 20. This is a biography, so I’ll start from the beginning. My real name is Irene (obviously I didn’t thought too hard xD), and I am 23 years old, though I’ll be 24 October the 14th. I am Libra, and as I was born in 1984, I am the rat in the Chinese horoscope. I am rational; I try to find logical explanations for everything, but I love legends and fantastic stories, that’s why I look for information and consider that as interesting information. I was born, I grown up and I live in a town from the south of Galicia, 20 kilometres from Pontevedra’s city, but my dream is to move to my nation’s beautiful capital, Santiago de Compostela. It’s the magical city, it has so many legends and myths that I won’t know them all in a lifetime. As I said, I love sciences and investigation, logical explanations and deductions, logical games and mathematical riddles. That’s why I studied to be Technician in Clinical Labs, because that was the best way to get something to investigate, while I worked in another of my passions: help people. I have many vocations, from nurse to translator, but perhaps the investigation in a lab is my Great Unattainable Dream. For many reasons, when I finished the studies in the Lab, I decided to study to become a teacher for Primary children, I finished that a few months ago and now I am studying for their (oposiciones). I am in a developing point of my life. Besides I love languages, I know a bit German and a bit French, and I finished English in the Official School of Languages. About hobbies… I love music. In my computer you can find literally, anything. I have some favourites, like Mägo de Oz, Muse, Radiohead, Iván Ferreiro and Shakira, but there are many, many more. I like a good film, as well, especially horror films… they scare me! But I love to be afraid There, I have favourite directors, such as Amenábar, Shyamalan and Burton. As author, I love to read, I have some favourite authors, such as Jane Austen, Stephen King, Ken Follet, Tolkien, some things from Dan Brown… and some favourite books, as ‘The lord of the flies’, ‘Lolita’ and ‘The eight’. Harry Potter is not my favourite book series, (I think that ‘Lord of the rings’ deserves better that title), nor JK Rowling is my favourite author. But of course, we owe her a lot of things, not being the invention of a whole universe (where we all have a place) the smallest of them all. Maybe the fanfiction phenomenon is the best thing that teenagers (and not so teenagers) have received in the late years, the possibility of exploring your creative capacities without a blush. And thought that universe existed before Harry Potter, it is so obvious how strong it has become since then, that nobody can deny it. When governments and ministries promote creativity contests as fanfiction and fanart, I’ll know I’m in heaven. My muse and teacher in the fanfiction world is Silverfox, I owe her my fascinations about one Severus Snape. To me, she is one of the very best authors in fanfiction. Silverfox is my muse because I take everything after her ways, my teacher because I learned with her, but besides she is my personal friend, so… what more you can ask from a book? I really believe that that is the most important thing I owe to Harry Potter, the people I met in its universe.
