Author has written 43 stories for True Blood, Deadwood, Lovejoy, Battlestar Galactica: 2003, Major Crimes, and Firefly.

I'm a long-time reader of fanfiction and a recent discoverer of HBO's Deadwood. Some niggling observations about Season 3 of Deadwood that I couldn't find addressed in any fanifc led me to make my first attempt at writing some of my own, and things went from there. I also like Battlestar Galactica 2003, True Blood, Firefly, Chuck, Pillars of the Earth, The Closer, Major Crimes, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Upstairs, Downstairs, Sons of Anarchy and Justified, and continue to look for entertainment before it's cancelled by network execs.

I'm female, married, grown children, retired, and pretty "bookish". In my Deadwood fanfic (and New in Town, to a lesser degree), there is a lot of historical detail, and these details have been researched thoroughly before they go in my fic. Any artistic license is noted in the author's notes. Almost everything after February 2012 has been beta'd twice,; once for content/characterization, and once for detailed SPAG. My background includes 30 years of working with and studying human behavior and this informs how I draw my characters. That's not to say my fic is perfect by any means (my ADD keeps me humble!) but it will have multi-faceted, believable characters. When and if I stray from canon (which is one of the things I love about AUs) I strive to give the characters a solid foundation for what they do.

I welcome any and all reviews; if you fav or follow me or my fic, I'd really appreciate even a short review of the fic that caught your eye. Even a "I liked this" will be welcomed with open arms, I promise! Concrit is always welcome, as are observations about the story, the show, the characters, etc.

Review Pledge

I promise to reivew every fanfic I read whether it be fantastic, useless or anywhere in between. I make this pledge because I know how frustrating it as an author to have hundreds (or thousands) of hits and only a handful of reviews. Copy and paste this onto your profile if you promise to do the same

Okay, shameless attention-whoring over--back to scribbling!

Update 08-2011: I'm working on a series of stories as a prequel to Deadwood, starting around 1860 and going through the life and times of the Deadwood characters until HBO's "Deadwood" begins. Headings and summaries will include enough(I hope) info so it's easy to see when, in the timeline, the story was set. My goals are to offer some explanation for why the characters do as they do in the show (entirely out of my imagination based on what was going on in that era and things said on the show). Although the project is continuing, stories that have completed their own arc will be marked "complete".

If a story doesn't have "prequel" in the summary, it is meant to be part of my other project, creating the imaginary "season 4" that I and other writers are working on to make up for the shabby treatment of fans by HBO in their premature cancellation of Deadwood in mid-stream.

Please feel free to let me know if labels, summaries and the like are confusing or misleading. As always, concrit, reviews, feedback, etc. are very welcome.

Update 9-2011: Although there is no separate fandom for "Lovejoy" (since it's been off the air for almost 17 years),I've started a multi-chapter story about Lovejoy and his complicated BFF, the married Lady Jane (married at the time of this story). Thanks to all Downton Abbey fans, who pointed me towards Mrs. Hughes, whereby I learned that she is played by Phyllis Logan, which led me on to Lovejoy. Which, by the by, is still a delight to watch, even if everybody dresses "1990's" funny.

Update: 6-2012: I'm working on two longfics: "New in Town", a crossover of "Deadwood" and Battlestar Galactica 2003: Bill and Laura end up stranded in Deadwood, circa 1879. The setting and timeframe is a year after the events seen in the last episode of "Deadwood", and in the BSG 'verse, the timeframe is shortly after the New Caprican settlers are rescued by Galactica, and prior to Gaius' trial.

2nd up is "One Wild Ride", which started as a BSG drabble with a prompt of "Adama/Roslin, AU". This AU is flavored with "Sons of Anarchy" themes but is not a crossover. There is quite a bit of "Caprica" here, as well, particularly featuring references to Sam Adama and his world of Ha'la'tha enforcement. In this 'verse, Bill and Laura's story begins when she is eighteen and Bill is a young veteran of the Cylon war. As with BSG canon, theirs is a rocky road as they try to figure out how they do or don't fit in each other's lives.
