Favorite Series/Books/Games/Etc. (In no particular order.)

Fullmetal Alchemist -- Manga preferred, but the first (fanfiction) anime is just as amazing. I feel so bad for Brotherhood, which is going to be compared to the original anime to the end of time.

.HACK -- I cannot begin to express how attached I am to this series...I just wish I could write something I liked enough to post online.

Kingdom Hearts -- "Kingdom Hearts" is what got me interested in Video Game Design as a career and more serious gaming. For years, I lived in fear of my stories being turned into bad movies, which quickly turned into a worse fear of having the movie made into a game once I started playing more and more video games. So, here I am now, aiming at a really competitive career so that I don't have to deal with a bad game based on a bad movie of my really awesome book.

Final Fantasy -- "Final Fantasy VII" and "VIII" are favorites of mine... I came in late into the VG craze, so I'm unfortunate to have missed out on many of the early games. At the moment, I don't have the time or they money to go searching for original copies, even though they've recreated earlier games for the PSP and DS. "Final Fantasy XIII" and all its relatives look exciting and Dissidia is a lot of fun (not recommended for non-FF players unless you like fighting games and collecting junk, because Dissidia has a lot of junk to collect).

D.Gray-man -- After many on-and-offs with production schedule, "D.Gray-man" has finally returned! YEAH! We get to learn more about Kanda! I'm in fear for Allen, because any moment and it's -snap- off to the Inquisition, which is a horrible and screwed-up thing I'm fairly sure was concocted to sate some weird freaky blood-lust. I've researched it far more than my stomach appreciates and am no longer able to eat pears.

DeathNote -- Both the manga and the anime are impressive, although the anime's ending was slightly disappointing to me. As for the movies...let's stay...far away from that subject. I found myself rooting for Light a lot of the time, even though what he was doing was horribly wrong and in the end, I was glad he lost.

Bakuman -- A must-read for anyone who's interested in the business of manga. It tells a lot about the inner workings of a manga company and how decisions on what's published, what's rejected, and so on and etc. are made and tells all this in an intriguing plot that anyone can enjoy!

Galerians -- It has something of a cult-status. It has elements of 'survival horror' and 'action rpg', but doesn't have a set description. The original game is for the PS1. It also has a movie called "Galerians: Rion" based on the original game and a sequel game called "Galerians: Ash". Controls are a problem, but it's got a really solid plot and unique characters. If you ever happen to see it in a store, I suggest you buy it, because it's nearly impossible to find and my copy doesn't have its original box. You'll either love it or hate it. But it's not a game for anyone who's life has been seriously affected by drugs because the main character Rion has to constantly inject himself with drugs that give him psychic abilities--that are, consequently, you're only means of defense in the game as you get sent on on head trip of an...an adventure (for a lack of a better word). Oh, don't think these drugs (called PPECs) don't mess you up, because it does, by a lot. There's something called AP (Addiction Points) and when this little purple meter maxes out (meaning your body and mind can no longer cope with the stress of battle and the drugs), Rion 'shorts' and it turns him into a walking instant kill zone and also destroys your own health in the process. The only way to keep yourself from dying is a drug called 'Delmetor'. Something else that might bother people in the game is that Rion never questions killing people. He questions who he is and why he's got his powers quite often, but never does he think twice about killing someone who threatens him. It's not like he's a hardened solider, he's a fourteen-year old amnesiac with psychic abilities and hears the voice of a girl in his mind. If he knows what he wants and you're in the way...well, you just might find that you've spontaneously combusted...

Danny Phantom -- Man, was I sad and upset that Nickelodeon canceled this. But I don't think they've got much sense in them... Anyhows, it had a really neat story (although most of it wasn't linear really) and had good characters. I found out recently there's a plan for the series to return, I hope its true and not just a rumor.

Stargate -- I love "Stargate". I was raised on things such as "Star Trek" and "Star Wars" (courtesy of my dad) so once I started hanging around for a few episodes with my mom, I grew attached. Stargate Universe is pretty amazing has lived up to my expectations of it and more.

Cirque du Freak -- A 12 book series written by a guy named "Darren Shan". It's a vampire book, with a more traditional vampire (that doesn't sparkle for the love of horror) and a few interesting differences that only add to the story. There's someone making a manga based on it! I saw the first volume in Barnes & Noble one day.

The Demonata -- Another series by Darren Shan. This is a story containing a son of a family with a genetic werewolf curse and some of the most hideous and horrifying demons you'll ever read about. The worst is Lord Loss--because he lives on our misery and isn't all that interested in your demise...at least...not a quick, painless one.

Dragonriders of Pern -- Pretty much any of Anne McCaffery's (and now Todd McCaffery) books concerning her dragons and the beautiful Pern that has a horrible plague ever couple hundred of years in the form of an organism that devours anything organic in the blink of an eye. It's Sci-Fi rather than Fantasy because the dragons were genetically altered to their size and intelligence from small draconian natives by the original settlers so they could defend the planet. Chronologically, "Dragonsdawn" is the book of when Pern was first colonized by its settlers.

Keys to the Kingdom -- Series by Garth Nix. It's got a lot of quirky characters that make the series really interesting. The main character Arthur Penhaligon is a fairly normal kid, although he's the youngest of several children and adopted into the family because his biological parents died trying to find a cure for a nasty virus alongside his adoptive mother. He's asthmatic (like me only with a more severe case, this description is what made me check the first book out from the library) who was supposed to die and was inadvertently saved by someone just trying to use him because he was going to die soon. Then starts the adventure of the very unwilling hero of the story who keeps trying to go back to normal life until a bit over half the series when he finally admits he can't keep waiting for the other side to make the first move.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy -- I almost finished the series, but then I realized I had had my friend's copy for a near year and decided it was way overdue to return it to her.

Jak and Daxter -- I love these games. I can't seem to get over my distaste of Keira, but that's probably just because she's always so mean to Daxter. No one understand Daxter's importance because I'm pretty sure that Daxter is the only one who keeps Jak's sanity intact. He's also the only one who doesn't piss himself when Dark Jak appears and has stuck at Jak's side despite all his complaining and whining about everything between heaven and hell.

Metal Gear Solid -- Amazing storyline and characters. I think Rosemary was the only character I hated and that's because she whines and whines at you about personal things like the state of your room back home (which is apparently empty...like my soul) over the nano-comm. Hel-looo, dearest, I've got machines of mass destruction to defeat and clothing to find, would you just shut up and save my game?

Legend of Zelda -- Another series I have an incredibly hard time writing fanfiction for, although my friend tells me she's liked a couple of things she's read. It's thanks to this same friend that I got into the "Legend of Zelda".

Pokemon -- This is what got me started on anime. I shall always hold it near and dear to my heart, although it saddens me greatly the direction the anime's taken. My sister, who still watches it, says it's lost all direction and semblance of plot and is now the anime that never ends, it goes on and on my friend, some people started making it not knowing how big it was to be, and then... You get the point, I'm sure.

Cardcaptor Sakura --While no longer a big fan, I really liked watching it and it makes me so mad that the American version of the anime was so horridly butchered.

Digimon -- "Adventure 01" and "02" will always be the best, but "Frontier" is a favorite as is 'Savers". "Tamers"...the Japanese version is better and makes more sense. "X-Wars" is...well, it started out decent, but now it's just...I don't know who they hired, but it's getting really hentai-ish and its pretty disgusting.

Ico -- An awesome tale of a cursed child's escape from certain death with a young girl a few years older than him whose mother is keeping her for the sole purpose of possessing her daughter's body since her own is dying. The entire castle is a giant puzzle and you have only one basic enemy, shadowy monsters that wish to kidnap Yorda back to her mother. Your only weapon is a wooden stick (and very later on, a sword filled with light) to beat the monsters back. The only 'boss battle' is Yorda's evil mother.

Shadow of the Colossus -- A game filled with nothing but boss battles against giant rock and moss monstrosities. Your goal is to destroy the Colossi and resurrect the dead Mono. The game never states just who Mono is to Wander, be she sister, lover, or unrequited love. The plot line is simple and straightforward but contains a surprising ending. There's a movie being made and I can't for the life of figure out how they're going to succeed. Shadow of the Colossus is a fairly easy-paced game and has a bunch of goodies you can access when you restart an old game. My favorite is the Secret Garden. (I can't wait for 'The Last Guardian'...even though I don't have a PS3 to play it on...)

Pendragon -- A series of 10 novels by D.J. McHale. Meet Bobby Pendragon, a kid whose just hooked up with the crush of his teenage years and suddenly finds his family, his dog, his house completely vanished and himself uprooted and thrown into a war to save all Halla from the corrupt Traveler Saint Dane. The only ones who know the truth are Bobby's best friend Mark Dimond and almost-girlfriend Courtney Chetwynde, who receives Bobby's journals through a ring a woman gave to Mark one night, and his Uncle Press, who is the Bobby's predecessor and teacher as a Traveler.

Dinotopia -- Who's never had some level of fascination of dinosaurs at least once in their life? Okay, so there's probably a few people...

Assassin's Creed -- A recent addiction. The story of Assassin's Creed is amazingly complex and intricate and the little touches (such as Desmond commenting on the now present subtitles in Assassin's Creed II) are endearing. All the loops and whirls are fascinating! I love games like this.
