Hello! Glad to see you here - I love peeking at people's profiles - I learn so much!

My pen name, "Artemis Acorn" is in fact, a clue as to my real identity, which really isn't a secret anymore now that my name is on the front cover of my book - which YOU, all my wonderful FFN friends, helped convinced me to publish. The translation from my pen name to my real-world name is a mathematical formula equal to or less than the original. It has no magical reference - it is all mythical. Once you figure it out, you will say it was too obvious!

I love Jane Austen's works in particular, but enjoy reading anything that is interesting, enlightening, thought provoking, or informative and especially that which is romantic.

A bit about me:

I am happily married with three grown children, and in January 2012 I entered the ranks of the grandma's of the world. I go by Nana, because it suits me.

I live in a beautiful valley in the western region of the United States, surrounded by rugged, spectacular mountains with snow-covered peaks. I am moved by nature, by the sky, by water, by the rustling of wind in the trees. I want to wrap myself up in it and soak it up through my pores. I tried doing that once, but it was incredibly dirty so I stopped.

I am particularly fascinated by lenticular clouds. If you don't know what that is, Google it and prepare to be amazed!

I have dabbled in many hobbies and pursuits, but it is only writing that I continually come back to, although I sometimes have long dry spells where I write nothing at all.

I have never left the United States, although I have peered through the gates at Tijuana and Nogales. My children however, have been to Japan, Trinidad & Tobago, Russia, Guyana, Kazakhstan, Belarus, St. Kitts & Nevis and (very briefly) Latvia. My son also resided for a brief period in Forks, WA, before it was known to be inhabited by vampires and werewolves. Alas, he encountered neither, although he met plenty of loggers and lumberjacks.

My one regret in life so far is that I have not been blessed to travel. I am SO curious about other places, and have been thrilled to see (on the Fan Fiction traffic pages) the global reach of this site. I can't see WHO you are, but I can see WHERE you're from, and I am so delighted about all the readers from the far reaches of this world. A giant shout-out to all of you, especially those of you who have dropped me a message. I am honored to meet you, even if it is just online. And as of August 2012, I have my passport. Maybe I'll make it out into the world after all!

UPDATE - I'm going on a Cruise in the fall of 2012. I can't call myself a world traveler yet, but it's a start!

If you really want to know what makes me tick, I will tell you that my personality type is a very solid INFP. LOL. Now you've got to do some research if you don't know what that means.

The continuation of "One Thread Pulled", Constant as the Sun is now posting. It will cover the period after Jane & Bingley's wedding up to Darcy and Elizabeth's wedding day. It will feature the much loved cast from OTP, and explore the ongoing courtship of Darcy and Elizabeth post engagement, Mary/Mr. Timmons, Anne de Bourgh / Mr. Fellows, Caroline Bingley and (to be revealed), the reformation of Lydia and Kitty. Other characters will include Georgiana, Fitzwilliam, Catherine de Bourgh, Mr & Mrs Bennet and the newlyweds, the Bingleys. If that isn't enough for you, there will be some awesome original characters and the Gardiners. We'll spend some time in London, Meryton and Derbyshire too. So check back - I promise some fluff, some antics and some conflict, though not necessarily in that order.
