Hello, my name is firefly1212 (or Hannah if you like), I'm 17 years old, I have blue/green eyes and dark brown hair (unfortunately not natural - I'm naturally blonde) and I like to write stories.

In case you were wondering, my icon is Dustfinger (played by Paul Bettany) in the film adaptation of 'Inkheart' by Cornelia Funke - my favourite character from one of my favourite books.

My favourite things are music and books. I'm a bit of an introvert and would rather stay at home reading or playing my guitar than go out partying. It's not that I don't have friends because I do and they're all lovely, I'm just really awkward in social situations. REALLY awkward.

Some bands I like are Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, My Chemical Romance, Asking Alexandria, Disturbed, All Time Low, Of Mice & Men and Escape The Fate.

Based on my music taste you might think I'm emo/goth/punk/scene, but to be honest it irritates me when people label other people without getting to know them first. I got called 'scene' the other day and I just burst out laughing and walked away.

But really if you like the same music as me we can be best friends forever. Please?

My favourite TV shows and films are Merlin, Sherlock, Chronicles of Narnia, The Vampire Diaries, Lord of the Rings (and The Hobbit), Harry Potter, Spirited Away, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King and Peter Pan.

If you were to ask me about my favourite book I wouldn't be able to tell you a specific one, there are just too many. But the ones on my shelf include the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkein (as well as The Hobbit, The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales), the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series' by Cassandra Clare and the Harry Potter books, as well as a bunch of others.

If I go into a bookshop I will either leave with a book or not leave at all. My sister thinks I have a problem.

I love Greek myths and Arthurian legends. If you get into a conversation with me about either be prepared for me to not shut up about it for at least a few days. You've been warned.

I may seem crazy (don't we all?) but I'm honestly really friendly, so if you want to know what else goes on inside this mind please do come talk to me, I'd love to have a chat with you. Even if you just read my work and enjoy it even a little bit then that will make me happy.
