I live in Wales, like reading fantasy/adventure, hate housework, love chocolate. Best reads:

The Dark is Rising sequence by Susan Cooper. Will Stanton is wonderful, though I torture him a lot in my story!

Harry Potter by JK Rowling. Well, do I need to say anything? (Read Gramarye's HP & The Legacy of The Light for a superb DiR/HP crossover.)

Anything by Jane Austen (except maybe Mansfield Park - Fanny is such a drip).

I now love Lord of the Rings, which I got into via the films and then read the books.

Also love Dianna Wynne Jones, especially Chrestomanci stories, and I think her later works are better than her earlier ones. I first read some as a child, and have re-read them plus all the later ones, despite being a "grown up" now.

'The Lightning Stones' was my first ever story. It was a good experience, difficult at times, especially when I seemed to run out of words, or the thesaurus didn't understand what I meant.
