I expected the real world to be difficult but not like this... I did have the continuations and I had it stored in my USB/thumb drive. Unfortunately, it was stolen and I have to start from scratch again. And I'm afraid I'm going to suck big time as I had been away from literature for quite some time. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. In fact, I wouldn't mind talking to some of you. At least it'll help rehash my english skills and help me curb my depression... She sighed and nodded slightly to him before moving past him. But once again, he remembered that he should always pay attention. He might never get the chance to know who this woman was if he didn’t stop being impassive. It wasn’t that he still had a thing for Hitomi, more like he just… missed being around her. And this woman just happens to remind him of Hitomi. So when she had just about passed him by, he spun around and seized her wrist, startling her into looking back at him with wide eyes. “Not so fast,” he said in a low voice that would certainly be fit to be categorized under seductive. Against All Odds (possible scene?) The image before him looked back with the same hatred he felt burning inside him ever since he could remember. It was all-consuming and yet, there was still this small voice inside his head, too small – nearly mute with all those times it was forcefully hushed up – that gave him the feeling that the likeness that he was seeing was not him completely. Somewhere, in the deep recesses of his supposedly long-dead heart, there was a strange sensation, the same he always saw burning behind a set of verdant eyes. Impulsive as he was, he turned away from the broken shards of the mirror and walked determinedly towards the hallway of his special soldiers’ quarters. As he reached a certain door, he was almost on the verge of believing that indeed there was a thing such as fate, for there by the door, just ostensibly having just exited the quarter, was the green armor-clad ex-Daedalusian commander that seemed to understand him far better than he understood himself. Without another second, his mind in turmoil impelled his mouth to ask what he desperatelywanted an answer to. “Who am I?” Just something random that I've written without any warning... Everything was in a subdued impression that she found herself drifting off to sleep, even against her will. He may be dangerous, but she was utterly and dreadfully exhausted. Her mind was just about crossing the line that separated light sleep from the dreaming state when she heard him speak. Despite her heavy eyelids, she could not help but look at him as discretely while he spoke. At first, she was just too busy looking at him, marveling at how a man can look so wholly lovely that he was more attractive than any other female she had ever seen, save for Celena, who actually look like him in some aspects she could not really put her finger on. She was startled later on to find out that his eyes, previously fixed on the dark sky, were now fixed on her face, its expression unreadable as always. Her face began to heat up in embarrassment at having been caught looking, and she diverted her eyes on the fire a few feet away from where she was resting. How long had I been staring at him while he looked back at me? She mused, her face heating up more. It was a good thing that the fire did nothing to reveal her flushed cheeks. He must think I’ve a crush on him like that Yukari girl. Her musing went on even when he spoke again. She had no idea what he was talking about at first, her mind still on how long she gawked at him. But then, just a bit later, he said something that made her look up back at him, finding him looking again at the darkness of the sky. “How is it like to be an angel?” At that question, she forgot all about whatever it was she was thinking. Is he asking me for my opinion? His eyes fixed back on her and remained so until she realized that it was probably just a rhetorical question, something that he knew she could not answer. “I don’t know,” she replied, looking away from his eyes that gave nothing away. “What about you? What do you think about how it is?” He was so pleasant to look at that it was easy, in her weary state, to forget the important details about her constantly endangered life around him. “I’ll never know then…” He said faintly, closing his eyes, his face so serene and yet so blank. | |||||||||||
