Author has written 4 stories for Doctor Who, and Megamind. Hello everyone! I've practically been born an author. I was making stories before I could read. I hope you like what I write. Here's some facts about me. Hopefully that'll explain what goes on in my head while I write. I'm crazy about medicine, healing, and the body. I've currently just graduated nursing school and I'm just fascinated by the stuff I've learned (and still learning!). You'll be seeing a lot of that in my stories. I'll probably use some nursing or medical words that are not used in everyday language. Feel free to ask me what stuff like "esophagogastroduodenoscopy" means. I'm also very intrigued by psychology and the mind. Two of the things that interest me most are schizophrenia and epilepsy. Our brains are so complex and fascinating. Again, you may see some of that in my writing. I'm also a Christian. While I'm not comfortable with converting a nonbelieving character, I will most likely make all my own characters believers themselves. I will also incorporate some Christian themes, but it probably won't be too extreme. If this stuff really bothers you, then just don't read it. I'll try to post a warning if it gets really religious. Here are a couple of themes that I find I write about predominantly. Good triumphs over evil. Dual personality (think Jekyll-Hyde, I love that book). A miraculous save when all seems to be lost. I like taking my stories to the depths before reaching the conclusion. Forgiveness and redemption. I also like hurt/comfort. Someone needs some caring, so someone cares for them. Here are some things you will definitely NOT see in my stories. Homosexual relationships. Swearing and profanity. Romance between characters that is noncanonical. I like to make my stories believable and fit them in with the actual thing. But I just really find this annoying. I won't be writing much romance at the beginning. I think I may eventually get up to it, but not at this point. My love life's basically been full of dead ends. I'm waiting until the fog clears. So, I don't have the proper inspiration for it. Here are my current stories: Doctor Who The Forgotten Series 1 Covert Tactics: The Doctor is trapped and without the TARDIS. It is up to nursing student Melissa to save him. After she helps him, she is dragged into a complicated situation and told that the Doctor is a dangerous villain. Will she be able to find the truth before it is too late? Status: Complete Megamind Finding the New Normal: Megamind and Roxanne are finding it difficult to adjust to their new lives. However, with each other, Minion, and several new friends, they have all the help they need. They have romance, angst, adventure, suspense, friendship, and just generally a good time. Status: In Progress My characters: Doctor Who Melissa Brogan: A young nursing student who lives near Houston, Texas, in 2010. She was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada. She lives with her father. She is quite intelligent and compassionate; she likes learning new things and helping people. However, she is also somewhat shy and feels out of place in modern society. She feels pressured by Miss Meagan, a family friend, into being someone she's not. Megamind Dr. Evelyn Hart: A middle-aged clinical psychologist who has just moved to Metro City. She is an intelligent, ambitious woman. She wants to change the prison system for the better and improve the lives of many with mental illness. She is very stoic and has great control over her emotions. She uses a cane to walk. She doesn't let appearances phase her, and she's eager to help Megamind and Roxanne find their new normal. Robert: Roxanne Ritchi's new cameraman. He's a young black man who's very optimistic and cheerful. He almost idolizes Megamind and considers him a better hero than Metro Man, thinking him more human. | |||||||
