Author has written 8 stories for Thunderbirds, Mummy, Harry Potter, Hogan's Heroes, and CSI: New York. 52 y/o, single, writes sci fi/fantasy, have had 3 short stories published, currently working on the novel. I like Irish/Scottish folk music and 50s-80s rock n roll and have such diverse interests as 1960s war shows (Rat Patrol to Hogan's Heroes), The Sentinel, and Harry Potter! Really into Japanese anime! When I'm not writing, I play Rift. Both hobbies are great therapy--you get to bash things but not really hurt anyone. My anime stories are published under the fanfic name of Meer-heika. It currently includes a Harry Potter/Bleach xover entitled "Reign Over the Frosted Heavens." PET PEEVES! When a writer says a variation of the following: "I suck at/can't write/can't do summaries." If you can't write a 2-3 sentence summary, I don't have a whole heck of a lot of faith in your FICTION WRITING! This is PARTICULARLY prevalent in the LotR fanfic community ... along with Mary Sue stories and "Gidget and her Friends Go to Middle Earth" stories. | |||||||
