Author has written 11 stories for Harry Potter, Matrix, House, M.D., and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It's come to my attention that my profile is in a sorry state. For an author that's logged more than three hundred thousand words on this site; I don't seem to have a way with words when it comes to my personal life. Anyway; I shall try my best. Introduction wise I'm in my late teens. I'm also from the subcontinent nation of India, and following the stereotype, am a huge cricket fan. I have a thing for good television shows (Game of Thrones, Suits, House M.D., Castle) and good books. I've been writing since I was 7, but honestly I couldn't even spell properly at that age I doubt that counts as anything at all. Though I suppose some amount of credit does go to the intent. I've tried my hands at all sorts of things: short stories, plays, poems, scripts, etc. As such; I'm more comfortable with prose than anything else but once in a while my imagination tends to wander. Why Did I Join Fanfiction? At first it was simply because I needed an outlet for my pent up words. Then, it slowly evolved into inspiration and now I can say, without my nose growing any longer, that this site has made me evolve as a writer. It's opened me up into thousands of different avenues from the good stories I've read (see the favourite stories list) and I've learned a lot from the tons of people that have reviewed my work. People say that most fanfiction is horrible, and as a trend is a terrible one, but I say that for all the bad stories I've had the bad luck of clicking on, they've been enough good ones to keep me coming back to this site. Will I Ever Quit Fanfiction? Definitely not in the near future but I can see myself moving on in two years or so. By then, hopefully, I'd have learned enough from this site and will be ready to face the world as a fledgling author. Maybe if I get published I'll be able to refer all the great people I've learned from and will be able to give back in some way to this cyber world that I inhabit with such pride. Genre's I Tend Towards. I'm a definite action junkie. I love a thrilling ride all around the world which keeps me on the edge of my seat. People getting injured in your story? Brilliant. Characters dying? Even better. To me, there is no purer story than the one which weaves a tale of magical fascination; which dreams of taking its readers to realms and places that they can only imagine of going. Action/Adventure definitely kicks it for me. Saying that; I don't mind a good romance as long as its well written and has enough plot movement to stop me from getting bored. Beta? Perhaps once I'm done with the overwhelming stuff on my plate first. I keep telling myself that I need to do a good deed and help someone else with their work but the truth of the matter is that if I start now, I probably won't do a very good job of it. People are free to get my opinions on their stories though. I love giving out critical reviews. Below is a list of my stories, (in no particular order) without an adequate summary but with one or two thoughts of mine concerning it.
1) Mark Of Athena. [Complete.] My very first PJO/HoO fic. What can I say? Son of Neptune really got to me and that cliffhanger in the end was the one that renewed my interest in the fandom which I'd only been an occasional reader of. This fic, however ran away with me and I was determined to do something different with it. Sure; the reunion's there but that's the end of the similarities with the others floating about. Spoiler? Well, for one: they don't go sailing off into the sunset. Instead they deal with things much closer to home. Oh and definite plot twists. My first multi-chapter story that I actually completed. Can't give enough thanks to my reviewers. 2) The Final Frontier. [In-Progress.] Since I couldn't stop my imagination from churning out the ideas, I was kind of forced into a sequel. In this, the definitely do go sailing into the sunset but don't encounter the obstacles you might usually expect. Instead, things start to unravel from within, which if you ask me, is way better fun than any outside threat. Also; as a daughter of a serving naval officer, I got all of my research firsthand. An added bonus to keep this fic realistic. 3) Memoirs. [In-Progress.] As I was reminiscing over all the shared memories of me and my dog, it suddenly occurred to me that the PJO fandom just doesn't have enough friendship stories with animals out there. So I decided, that I was going to take initiative and write a story about one. Choosing Annabeth as my protagonist was an entirely selfish move at first (I figured it'd draw in the readers) but as I delved into the story; I realized that I responded to her on a basic level that was very hard to resist. As a break from my usual action/drama/mystery multi chapter works, I hope this will help me understand the truer values of making a good story without an overburdening plot. 4) Suits. [Complete. For Now.] This idea took me by the throat and refused to let me concentrate on any of my other works. It took me seven days, but I managed to get through seven acts and forty thousand words to properly document only the Pilot episode. My first (and till date) only AU: it examines the relationship between employer and employee in the high powered world of one of NYU's prestigious law firms. Percy and Annabeth star of course, but expect a healthy dose of all the others making major appearances as well. As soon as I'm done with my other in-progress words; I'll come back to this. 5) Four O' Clock. [Complete. One-shot.] I forget what was the inspiration for this story but I do remember that this was one of the easiest stories I've ever written; so the inspiration was probably a good one. Classic Percy/Annabeth with only a little bit of drama to take away from the -dare I say it?- fluff. No depression, no angst, no annoying characters who want to kill people. Just good ol' fun. That's probably why its the favourite of my one-shots among my readers. Favourite for me? Not so much. 6) Soulmates. [Complete. One-shot.] One of my longer single chapter fics and thus, a little harder to write. The idea of this came from a FRIENDS episode and as soon as I saw it, I simply knew that I had to adapt it to Percy and Annabeth. It deals with teenage jealousy and insecurity on a tame level with a healthy dose of fun for the reader. Watch as Percy struggles through realizing that he isn't perfect for Annabeth and then arrive at the conclusion that it's probably a good thing that they're so different. I was (and still am) hesitant about the title because it does not have pukeworthy sappiness. 7) Sea Breeze. [Complete. One-shot.] As a break from my usual style, this one is an entirely introspective fic. Reminds the reader that Percy and Annabeth aren't joined at the hip, and that sailing towards your doom isn't all that fun and games. Involves an anti-social Annabeth and an unusually remote Percy. Until of course they decide to be awesome together. Came to me in a moment of boredom outside the doctor's office. 8) Long Moments. [Complete. One-shot.] The first ever PJO one-shot I wrote. Did this shortly after I started my MOA as practice to help with the Percy/Annabeth interaction. It's short, doesn't really have a point except for the fact that Percy likes to keep Annabeth's attention solely to himself and has fun dialogue. As practice for MOA, it helped immensely. As a stand-alone story it's reasonable enough. Certainly better than a lot of rubbish I've seen out there. House, M.D. 1) One Night. [Complete. One-shot.] For a very very long time I was obsessed with House. For months, all I read was the House/Cuddy stories. I still think that as a TV show, it comes in the top ten best shows of all time. Brilliant writing, brilliant acting and brilliant directing made the show what it was. Fanfiction does very poor justice to the awesomeness of the show, but I still gave it a shot because it was all but bursting out of me. This particular story is set after the 7th season (which is when I stopped watching due to the terrible finale) and was an attempt to heal my broken heart over the House/Cuddy fallout. Rated M for mature, sexual themes but definitely not lemon. Matrix. 1) We Meet Again. [Incomplete.] Truly, I should not even write anything over here, because I'm sad to say that I gave up this story after two chapters. It has great potential though and maybe one day, I'll get back to it. Not on my to-do list at the moment, though. Sorry. I keep it up to remind myself how easy it is to not finish something and that forces me to keep writing. Harry Potter. 1) Crossroads. [Incomplete.] Who here hasn't written (or read) HP fanfiction? For most of us; it was the reason why we found this site in the first place. My very first story, and I didn't do a too bad job of it either. Looking at the response I got (and still sometimes get) for it, I've made the decision to reinvent this story completely once I'm done with my PJO kick. The pairing is Viktor/Hermione because I loved Viktor Krum and wanted to start with something different rather than to just rehash everything that was already there. I'm a proud Potterhead and Harry Potter will always have a place in my heart. Well. I'm not sure what else to add here, but I think I've covered most of the stuff I wanted to say. If you've come this far, it means you truly so appreciate my work, and for that I can't thank you enough. Sometimes, as readers, you guys don't know how easily you can make or break a story. If you're looking for some other stuff to read, check out my favourite stories list. It doesn't have a lot of links (because I'm choosy about what all I honor with such a commendation) but I can assure you that they're all good quality stuff which I review regularly.
