Very Important Note: First off, I want to say that I'm very flattered by all the pms I've been getting concerning assistance with your own fics. It makes me happy to know that all of you seek advice from me as you strive to better yourselves in writing your own stories.

However, as much as I would love to help, I'm afraid that my time is quite limited now a days. Between my job, personal life, and writing my own fan fiction (not to mention training myself so that I can properly get going with writing my first script), I don't have enough time to individually assist everyone. However, I will briefly give some suggestions here;

To better yourself as a writer, the most important thing to do is actually quite simple; read. Read anything, whether it's a novel, the newspaper, or someone else's fan fiction. Reading helps with recognizing grammar, different styles of writing by the individual, and even give you a little bit of inspiration as to what you can add to your story. Keep doing this and you will be quite surprised by what you can do once you write your story down.

Also, for extra help in grammar and vocabulary, pick up a writing lesson book, or a dictionary. If you don't have the money, go on the internet. There are plenty of free writing lesson websites out there. Take about 30 minutes a day practicing those lessons.

When writing, never forget to use spell check. Your writing program has one and so does fanfiction.net. Also, read through the fic a few times because the spell check may miss a few things. Try to get someone to be your beta reader as well.

That's all for that area. In the meantime, I would also like to make a few notes for everyone to keep in mind before pming me;

1) I don't mind if you ask me to read one of your fics. I'm always more than happy to do so. However, don't expect me to get started right away. If I take too long in reviewing, you can poke me again if you like (just be nice... being a jerk about it will automatically turn me away).

2) Please don't ask me to write a fic for you. I'm lucky to even have some time to write my own fics. I apologize for this.
