My shippings generally tend to stay true to canon, unless the whole thing is up to speculation (like in TF2). Don't confuse this with me being some stuffy old puritan who frowns on non-canon pairings. Some are actually pretty good, when written well, and I have been persuaded in the past by some incredibly good fics :) Just don't go around saying something you wrote is actually going on in the official game/series/book, because sometimes it just isn't, even when you think it should. And that's the harsh truth.

MY CURRENT FAVOURITE SHIPS(yeah it changes from time to time)-

TeamFortress2: MedicXHeavy, REDSpyXBLUScout'sMa, REDDemomanXMiss Pauling. Yes, this is the fandom where I can indulge my crack pairings that don't make any sense :D Actually, some do. I guess. A recent addition is flifloppingotaku's Fanclass TamerXSniper. Seriously, check her out, she's like the only Fanclass I've seen that's actually good!

Sonic: TailsXCosmo, KnucklesXRouge.

NCIS: AbbeyXMcGee (how do you spell that?!).

Wreck-It Ralph: FelixXCalhoun. I understand why somebody would ship RalphXVanellope, and I sort of want to, but I just can't. Morals and that. I'd only ship them if there was a scenario where Sugar Rush got some sort of patch/upgrade and Vanellope was suddenly about 10 years older, and luckily for me alot of people in the fandom feel the same way and write it. So...yay c:
