Hi, fellow fans! I'm fairly new to the world of fanfiction, and "A Friend Closer Than a Brother" was my first work of fiction in the Robin Hood fandom. I was moved to write it after the series ended and I felt so sad and let down from all the character deaths, etc. (I cried for days over Guy's death!) I finished the rough draft in the summer of 2010, but didn't start posting it on this site until several months later. Publishing this first story (my very first completed novel), was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, and I have Guy to thank. He was such an inspiration that I was compelled to write a whole book to give him a happier ending!

After my Season 3 AU rewrite, "A Friend Closer Than a Brother", I wrote the follow-up story "First Comes Love, Then Comes Marriage, Then Comes?", which continues the story from where it left off after "Friend".

Currently I'm writing the sequel to both previous stories. "Rodger and Eleanor" is a next-generation tale about Guy and Meg's son, and Robin and Marian's daughter, but it includes much more about our familiar and beloved characters from the show. It's a work in progress, but I will update with new chapters as often as I can.

I've been a writer (as a hobby) since childhood. I love to tell a story! I enjoy classic literature, science fiction (Star Trek, the original series) and fantasy (I loved the "Dragonriders of Pern" series by Anne McCaffrey), and anything by Jane Austen, J.R.R. Tolkien, James Herriot, and the British writer Catherine Cookson.

I'm an American who feels she was born in the wrong country--should've been a Brit. BBC's "Robin Hood" has been a real inspiration, and the source of many hours of fun writing stories, reading other people's fanfiction, and hashing over the show on discussion boards. My favorite character? Guy, hands down! But I like all the others, too, especially Allan a Dale.

I live in the beautiful state of Maine, with my husband (who patiently puts up with my Guy obsession), four cats, Jack (my Manx, hence, my online name), his naughty sidekick Duncan, and my two crazy girl cats Chelsea and Penny. What do I do in "real life"? I clean houses. Ugh! But it gives me time and opportunity to write stories in my head while I'm scrubbing other people's dirt. And yes, I do have a life beyond that! I love to read, take day trips to scenic areas, sing, listen to music, and be creative. I love animals of all kinds, especially cats!
