Howdy!

I'm more of a fic reader than writer, and just returned to ff after years and years away. I will be reposting my old stories from HP & LOR because my old ff profile got deleted somewhere along the way, but I won't be adding to them. If you want to see a particular story continued and would like to write a sequel or companion piece, send me a message! These days I'm really only reading twilight fic, for reasons I can't really understand. The franchise is awful and rankles my politics, but it's sooooo entertaining. I might post the occasional smutty oneshot for Twilight, but my ff profile is mostly just a way to keep track of all the fabulous twifics that y'all are writing.

Like a lot of you, I'm more than a little obsessed with Twilight, but also think it's antifeminist, homophobic, and espouses a lot of crazy stuff (Edward not believing in evolution but not coming from any kind of doctrinal religious framework? Really?). Also like a lot of you, I like lemony fics that don't reflect my RL desires/life. Shy, old-school, housewifey Bella & chauvinist, jealous Edward makes for tasty lemonade, but in real life, I'm a homo and a feminist, and would never stand for any of that nonsense.

I'm always looking for juicy new fics. A few of my favorite things:

-Canon Jacob/Nessie all grown up- I think the pairing has tons of potential, but most J/N fics I see are a little. . . juvenile. Alpha Jacob is too hot to let go to waste on teeny bopper angst, and Nessie's often used as a Mary Sue for every insecure fifteen year old on FF. I would love recs for mature, well written j/n fics with lots of lemons! Bonus points for fics that go in depth with the mythology and explore how Jacob & Nessie's bizarre pairing of gifts interact.

-AH; Domward/Subella- I could care less about exhaustive chastisement scenes, but I think Bella's character suddenly redeems herself a little as a sub- making a decision to submit to (competent, SSC, well-trained, dominant) Edward makes her seem so much stronger and self-possessed. I love fics with real submission and giving over control, with an attentive Edward and lots (and lots, and lots) of lemons. I won't lie, withholding orgasms totally bores me, and extensive dietary charts without consulting the sub (two very popular themes on ff.net) just aren't practical or respectful to an experienced sub. That said, Domward going off the rails a little and doing dastardly stuff, like mistraining a vulnerable Bella (see "The Submissive", "My Greatest Masterpiece", and "Trophy Wife") can be super hot. I won't lie.

-Canon lemons- the dirtier, the better. Especially lemons about Edward and Bella experimenting before the wedding- there had to be a little "everything but" going on during all that fade to black, right? If you want to avoid killing your human bride with your out of control vampire lust/strength, a little frottage before "I do" just seems prudent. Practice makes perfect!

-AH; Mennonite Edward, Viking Edward, etc.- any fic set in a community where women are chattel/subservient/relegated to domestic roles and the romantic arc is fairly similar to domward/subella. Just more proof that feminists can get awesome catharsis from fanfic! If someone were to write a Frum Edward story, that person would be my heroine forever.

-Extra credit: any already-awesome fic that also happens to contradict some of SM's crazy politics. Ie. Edward talking about how science is real and Evolution makes perfect sense. Or canon characters talking frankly about sexuality and family planning. Also, queerness and feminism being acknowledged as, you know, part of culture.
