Welcome to my profile. Oddly enough, I'm not even really sure when I got interested in writing fanfics (only that it was in my mid-teens). Regardless, here we are. I tend to stick with just a few franchises with my fics though. One thing to remember is that, unless otherwise noted, all my fanfics in each category are set in the same timeline.
If you care enough to read about me, my name is obviously Justin. I'm twenty-two years old as of April 5th. I live in the US, or Mississippi for those who live here too. I've dreamed of being a writer for a long time (although I believe my original stories are better than my fanfics lol). I guess that's why I really enjoy Fiction Press (same id there too) and FanFiction.net. As a profile I recently read said, I love getting reviews. If I get deprived of any, I get to the point I have a hard time updating the particular story. I demand reviews! lol
Universes I Love Writing Fan Fics For AND Have Stories Uploaded Here:
1) Star Wars
-I tend to focus more on the Galactic Civil War, mainly because it's my favorite period of the Star Wars franchise. While I don't mind doing otherwise, I mainly stick to original characters of my own and telling their stories.
2) Quantum Leap
-One of my top three favorite live action TV series ever (with The Shield and Mystery Science Theater 3000). I actually had a story up on here that was in progress back in '05 that was set in Biloxi, MS. However, when Katrina hit, I felt that maybe it was best I took what I had down. Unfortunately, I never got around to rewriting and reuploading what I had.
3) The Real Ghostbsters
-I've always loved the Ghostbusters franchise and the cartoon was my favorite cartoon as a kid that I still enjoy watching on You Tube. Peter is my favorite character. "Night of the Living Red" is my first RGB fanfic, so it's not much to look at. Please note my Ghostbuster fanfics are based on the RGB cartoon, and not the movies. Also, unlike a lot of authors I've seen in the RGB/Extreme section, I try to keep my RGB stories as clean as possible and in tone with the cartoon (so no random drunk-fests or stuff like that). If other writers want to do stuff like that, that's their stories and I won't complain to them or anything. Just don't expect them with mine.
4) The Terminator
-Probably my favorite movie franchise (despite the horribly weak link T3). I only have one Terminator fanfic up right now, Things Change. I had actually had that story in mind for a while and always wondered about that moment the story is about.
5) Monk
-Another one of my favorite TV shows. Monk is actually one fictional character that I feel I can really relate to in many ways. This is definitely one show I will hate to see end (but just so long as they let Monk catch his wife's killer!) And as you can probably tell from my (so far) only fic up, I am not a Monk/Natalie shipper. (Natalie fans, don't get jealous. I wasn't with Sharona either)
6) Animorphs
-I loved the Animorphs series when I was younger, although I was one of the people that wasn't a fan of the ending to the series. Marco was my favorite character and if I had to pick a favorite book, it'd probably would be book #7. You want to know a cool fact (at least for me it is)? In book #20, KA Applegate actually used my name (Points to FF id) for a minor character on pgs. 3 and 4! I had actually won a little contest involving Animorphs (although it was for those beach towels) and I guess she liked my name enough to use it :P. At least, that's what I'm going to assume lol. I'm working on my first AM fic in a long time, but unfortunately some real life issues have come up and I don't have much time right now to focus on writing fanfics.
My Thoughts On Cross-overs:
-I love cross-over fan fics...IF they are reasonable enough to have actually happened in one show or the other and it just...works well. Examples of what I mean:
"Reasonable" Cross-over: Touched By An Angel and Highway To Heaven
"Unreasonable" Cross-over: X-Men and Star Trek (I've actually seen a real cross-over novel between X-Men and The Next Generation. It sounded horrible the moment I learned of it to me)
P.S. I also think people who don't like happy endings in whatever medium (books, TV, movies, etc.) are idiots. Thank you. :)
