Author has written 164 stories for Man From UNCLE, Wild Wild West, and NCIS.
A bit of an explanation:
Everyone has their own ideas on what Illya and Napoleon are like, based not just on the show, but on the fanon that has evolved over the years; expanding on their experiences in life...these stories are our own personal fantasies, so I sometimes combine "canon" with my own thoughts of what their lives in and out of U.N.C.L.E might be like.
Some people have told me that my portrayal of Illya has been rather dark in my early stories, and that's partly correct, but taking his backstory from a reality based point of view, it is a very plausible characterization. Many of my stories are grounded in reality and history...real places and not "somewhere in the Swiss Alps" etc. as they used vaguely on the show.
In many of my Saga stories you will see Illya's journey is one in which he experiences a very cruel life in Russia, with a lot of dark secrets that haunt him, and as he continues moving forward, he grows and learns to face his demons and comes into the 'light' so to speak. I focus on his growth process and what influences caused him to become the man that he did. I explore many of the characteristics displayed by the Illya on the show as well as those that have become "fanon", and offer explanations as to how he developed those personality traits and habits, but again keep in mind these stories are AU-alternate universe. Things don't always follow a 'natural' progression as they might in the 'real' world.
I have numbered most of my stories now to make it easier to follow, as some of them should be read in order as they are part of an on-going sequence.
I have five story groups: the "Illya-series, and the Napoleon-series For Illya the stories go from his childhood onward, with his experiences in USSR, and just as he joins UNCLE. The Illya series is published out of order, as I filled in gaps with more stories, so they're numbered in correct order. #'s 2 and 6 in the sequence haven't been published yet...all can be read as stand alones.
Napoleon's stories are usually told from his POV (point of view) and take place at different periods in his life before and while in UNCLE.
Next is the Pre-saga-series which are canon/misson based stories that take place when they are the spies that we know and love, are working for UNCLE with no girlfriends/wives/family ties. If you are a fan of canon, then these are the stories for you. These do not have to be read in any specific order.
Lastly is the main group of stories called the "Saga-series," which are on-going AU (alternate universe) involving their personal/family lives, often combined with mission-based stories. These stories, though many can be read as 'stand-alones' should be read in order, so they will make sense as I have made a habit of foot-noting/ cross-referencing to other stories in order to help those readers who have not read the series in the correct order.
My newest group of stories that usually involve Illya under a separate heading called "The Bowery-Mission Stories." Involves his unlikely friendship with an older woman who runs the Bowery Mission in New York City.
For those of you confused by all these series, and cross references... think of it as a time line with the Illya and Solo series in the beginning, the Pre-saga series in the middle (which includes the Bowery stories) then the Saga-series/AU at the end of the time line. Illya and Napoleon are the same throughout the entire time-line, only the people around them change.
I am also just beginning to venture into my other childhood favorite,"The Wild Wild West." This is a new challenge for me, writing in multiple genres, so it should be interesting to say the least, and may be slow going for a bit. Not easy to write in multiple genres and I admire any author who can do so! And finally took the plunge and wrote an NCIS-Ducky story!
Please be kind and constructive in commenting, we are all here to enjoy ourselves, whether to read or to write. Negativism and accusations really have no place here, whether you do it via review or in pm. There are many common themes, background information, concepts and names that run throughout 'canon' and 'fanon' that no one owns, so there's a lot out there for us all to share! If you see a research, grammar or spelling error in a story please let me know, but PLEASE do it via PM and I will gladly make the correction.
We don't own the rights to the Man from U.N.C.L.E. either the characters or concept and are graciously permitted to use them in having our fun ( the late Norman Felton had given his blessings to fanfiction using his concept and characters)
So I hope you enjoy reading my offerings and please remember to let others have their enjoyment as well. It is after all "fantasy." but just a bit of seriousness to interject; the original characters, story-lines/plots and content here belong to me. No one has the right to reference copy or parody without my express permission/authorization.
Your comments and suggestions are most welcome, and can only serve to help improve my writing! If you have any ideas for stories, feel free to send me a private message (PM) and let me know, as I love getting those sort of prompts! And I will give you credit for any suggestions of course!
