Status: Gone to War...
From Febuary 2008 to sometime in Fall 2008, I'll be deployed to the deserts of Southern Afghanistan with the Medical Corps. My current 5-year plan now includes surviving to see my next birthday.
That is all.
I am the one they call Crow, Stitch, Andy, Chucky, The Gimp, Alexei, Drink Bitch, Corporal, Knuckles, The Pit Dweller, Big Al, Little Al, The McNinja, Jack Cassadine The Bearer Of Tequila, Grand Emperor of the Attic and Second In Command of the Wombat Army.
Any of these titles will serve nicely.
I am an actively serving member of the Canadian Armed Forces, and for some reason I've posted more stories from the deserts of Afghanisatn than in the entire year prior.
I openly invite (and encourage) all forms of feedback.
Review me, E-mail me, Send a carrier pigeon, whatever.
I can't fix mistakes unless someone tells me about them.
For the moment, I'll be focusing on a variety of works. I'll update when I can, but time and connections are rare out here.
I do take my writing seriously, though, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for the other serious writers on this site. People who post poorly written, misspelled, slapped together pieces, however...
I'm not asking for perfection. God knows I've made my fair share of mistakes, and then some. All I suggest is reading your work over a couple of times before posting it.
It's really not that tricky to edit something properly, and it can actually be fun, in an odd kind of way.
Give it a shot. I guarantee you you'll be happy with the outcome.
