Author has written 113 stories for Supernatural, Doctor Who, and Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
I'm a Supernatural fan, but I've only seen some of the episodes a couple of times so the details can be a little hazy sometimes. Dean/Cas are my OTP - I like the bromance and although I don't mind a bit of light slash, I'm not here for pr0n. I kinda like the symmetry of Sam/Gabriel and because surely having an archangel looking after your younger brother means you don't have to?
Like Dean, I have an emo-Sasquatch younger brother of my own, so I really, really don't get the Wincest thing – but hey, each to their own, and I did read 'Flowers in the Attic' growing up (my Mum lent me her copy)!
I tend to have sudden, but infrequent, lightning strikes of inspiration that tend to demand to be written – I like to think of my “plot bunny” as Frank from Donnie Darko. Unfortunately most of my best ideas seem to come to me when I'm running (my other obsession!) which is a nuisance as I don't have anything to write with and then I forget them.
But as a father with kids (and I'm trying not to give them John-like Daddy issues) and a full-time job I don't exactly get a lot of time for writing and I'm a terrible procrastinator, so please forgive the irregular update schedule. Be assured that I usually finish something once I've started it! (Although there was that pottery class once...)
As I'm British and most of the hits here are from the US, do let me know if I've made any language/cultural gaffes – they say write about what you know, but unfortunately I've chosen supernatural adventures in the Mid-West...
For “style reasons” I like to write in US English – or as close as I can get. I actually quite like all the missing Us, and the Zs instead of Ss, but 'cause' instead of 'cos'? That actually makes my brain ache, but I just grit my teeth and bear it, see the sacrifices I make for the Winchesters? So if you spot any errors please PM me so I can fix them. Having said that, although I don't care if you use it, I'll die before I use “could care less”. (That one doesn't count!)
I've had a fair number of hits on what I've written so far, but not many reviews – so don't be shy, please review and let me know what you think! And let's face it, if we didn't want reviews we wouldn't be publishing the stories here in the first place, would we? ;D
I'm a regular participant in the Enkidu07 and Onyx Moonbeam Drabble Challenge, where an exactly 100-word long story has to be written based on a particular word or theme. It's a lot of fun!
Please also read my story, 'A Very Supernatural Journey' which has Enkidu07 in a starring role – it's co-written by Woman of Letters (it's published under her account), mainegirlwrites, Wynefred, and me.
