Author has written 42 stories for Saiyuki, Rurouni Kenshin, X/1999, Hana Yori Dango, His and Her Circumstances, Fanfiction Poetry, and Escaflowne. i've spent half my life being a closet writer and some of it stumbling about as a lit major, reviewing the geniuses (ha!) as though i were equal to the task ^_^ oh yeah, and dispensing sage advice to fellow writers who were either kind enough not to tell me to go to hell, were totally indifferent to my prosings-on, or maybe, just maybe, they thought i spoke sense. it's been known to happen ^_^ in person, i'm not too big on the cheese, so if i laid it on a bit, that must be due to lack in practice ^_^ i started writing fanfic because of tower-san, who wanted me to try a GMS fic, although i hadn't seen the series. she gave a few tips about the characters, i did a little research, and i ended up with awakening. however, i needed a break, so i started writing about the very first anime i ever loved, rurouni kenshin. it snowballed, and so i ended up with about 14 short prose and poetry pieces which i've just added here. i hope to add more. tnx to tower-san for jump-starting my writing again. i was experiencing a drought in creativity, and so i owe you bigtime. ^_^ of course, you may just kill me when you read "pink", hehehe. minna-san, please feel free to review what i've written. i welcome your opinions, especially since there's a lot of stuff out there and you took the time and effort to read and review ^_~ tnx! in case you're wondering what anime i've seen and liked (series): Rurouni Kenshin (as stated); Card Captor Sakura; FruitsBasket; Fushigi Yuugi (hehe); Gundam Wing; Hana Yori Dango; Kareshi Kanojo no Jijyou; Magic Knights Rayearth; Martian Successor Nadesico; Neon Genesis Evangelion; Vision of Escaflowne; X the Series seen and liked but not completed, with every intention of completing: Ayashi no Ceres (read the darned translations ‘till the end too); Cowboy Bebop; Gensoumaden Saiyuki; Great Teacher Onizuwa; Hikaru no Go (46 eps! more! more!); HunterXHunter; Inuyasha; Kodomo no Omocha; Mirage of Blaze; Sakura Wars; Samurai Deeper Kyo; SlamDunk; Tokyo Underground; Vampire Princess Miyu movies & oavs seen and liked: Miyazaki Films (all of ‘em, except Spirited Away—I’ve yet to find a good copy of my own); Akira; Blood the Last Vampire; Death and Rebirth & End of Evangelion; Endless Waltz; Girl From Gaea (the series is better, but the music is fabulous as usual); Metropolis; Prince of Darkness (Nadesico Movie); Saiyuki Movie; SlamDunk Movies 1-4; Spriggan; Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (way better than the first movie); X 1999 (the series is better, of course) RK OAV 1 Tsuioko Hen; RK OAV 2 Seisou Hen; FY OAV 2, 1-6 and the 4 eps of the new miko (Eikouden?); Rayearth OAVs; Vampire Princess Miyu 1-4 (dated but interesting in concept) Weirded out and not sure what I think about it yet: Lain No need to mention the stuff I don’t like or found boring ^_^ However, I just HAVE to say this: Ishinshishi no Requiem is the one disappointment in the RK world. It does not do justice to the series, especially because (1) it uses the same scenes over and over again, and (2) the plot lacks the subtleties one expects in RK. And Niji is a gratingly bad song due mostly to the vocals. *shudder*tear* WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Hmmm...I have to watch that movie again, just to see if the traumatizing first time was an overreaction...I greatly fear that it wasn't, however. *sigh* | |||||||
