7/7/08: I should not have Internet access on vacation. Otherwise I end up writing super-smutty Raph/Cass one-shots like the one I've just posted. After some serious deliberation, I've posted the full version here at FFN; it's really more lime than lemon, so hopefully it'll be okay. I don't want to hear about anyone's virgin eyes being tainted by sex scenes, though, so use your better judgement.
(To my fellow smut-hounds: I hope it's good for you. Bwah ha ha.)
Challenge is still up and running, if anyone's in the market for some giftfics. My writer's block appears to be fading, and I'd love to give my creativity a workout for you guys. :)
Standing fic rec: the fabulous Freya Sacksen answered my call for more Raph/Cass fic and wrote the magnificently dark "Artemis's Beauty," which I highly recommend you all read post-haste. Seriously, it's an amazing piece of fiction.
CHALLENGE!
Some of you in the audience may have noticed that I'm something of a Raphael/Cassandra fan ("Good God, Anysia!" you're exclaiming, "When did this happen? You've always been so subtle and quiet!"). Heh. But seriously, the pairing has angst, drama, a serious love/hate dynamic...all sorts of good stuff. Sadly, though, my little OTP doesn't get too much in the way of love from the Soul Calibur fandom. There are maybe three or four Raph/Cass fics besides my own, and you can only re-read the same thing so many times, you know? I figured I had to try something to increase my fellow authors' output.
So here's the deal for those of you reading this (hey, you two): if you produce fanfiction (and/or fanart, if you prefer) pertaining to the Raphael/Cassandra pairing, in exchange I'll happily write you a Soul Calibur-themed one-shot (likely ~1000 - 1500 words, possibly more) featuring the characters and/or pairings of your choice. I know a fic from me is kind of a suck prize—I'd give you guys Hemingway or something if I could, if not for that whole "dead" factor—but, hey, I'm all I've got access to.
No limitations on the type of fic you could ask for—humor? Got it. Romance? In spades, if you want it. Smut? Probably posted on Livejournal, but no prob. Slash? Poetry? I'm a serious n00b, but I'd be willing to give it a shot. Rare pairing? Hey, I know the feeling—I'm your gal.
If you're up to the challenge, feel free to e-mail me or leave a comment at my writing journal (you can also PM me, but FFN's weird about links and swearing, so I'm not too crazy about the system). Write a 100-word drabble, draw some stick figures, and behold, gift!fic for the taking. I know I'd take complete advantage of me.
CURRENT PROJECT: Soul Calibur (Raphael/Cassandra). I'm still working on my 30_nights prompts over at LJ, but most of those have been cross-posted here. I do occasionally post drabbles and rough drafts at my writing journal that don't always make it to FFN, so feel free to check it out if you'd like.

I'm a 21-year-old eternally-neurotic English major attending school in Philadelphia. Writing (along with reading trashy fantasy/romance novels, studying French, cross-stitching, spending time in Canada, and listening to my "Guilty Pleasures" playlist on my iPod) is one of my many escapes from the stress of college life...and, really, the stress of life in general. It's just an added bonus when people read and enjoy what I've put out there. I love to hear from and talk shop with both readers and fellow authors, so feel free to drop me a line.
And, as always, eternal thanks to my readers and reviewers, anonymous or otherwise. Good, bad, or indifferent, I always value the input.
