So as usual, after a long hiatus, I'm trying to write again. If you're still reading please let me know. Below is where the stories stand and the scraps that sit on my desktop.

ICF: This story honestly surprises me almost as much if not more than it may you. I've lost almost complete control of what Beltane wants to do.

Old Soldiers: Hey I updated it, that's got to earn me points. For those who want to know what's up with Billy, I promise that will unfurl in the next few parts and he'll get more page time.

Superfluous Soldiers: I have to admit that I'm stuck on this one. Not because I don't know where it's going, I just seem to have hit a roadblock in getting there.

In the Works (Stories which may or may not come to fruition, if there's one that intrigues you feel free to tell me)

Eulogy: Kind of in the vein of Potter's Field (because CrazyGirl begged and Dagmar threatened), but with different, equally messed up people (Adam/Aisha this time)

Fine Fine Line: A long time ago when I still wrote for BtVS, I did a piece of fiction where every chapter was based off a line from one particular song; there's a great song from Avenue Q that goes through as series of things that there's a fine line between (Lover and Friend, Fairytale and Lie); I've been thinking of trying it again with a Chip/Vida pairing, but really I'd need someone more familiar with the series than me to read it. Let me know if you want it.

Someone to Fall Back On: HP - Ginny/Neville; I fell in love with the movie 'Besieged' and I want to try my hand at the same kind of quiet wearing down that happens there; set after the second war;

Those are the ones that have materialized into something more than a few words, or a random concept.

Very basic facts -

Age: Old enough to know better, too irresponsible to care

Hobbies: Avid collector of Broadway musicals, and I enjoy yoga and cross-stitch.

Occupation: Lawyer (finally)

Favorite Pairings: While I'll eat up anything that's well written, my preferences include Billy/Kat (PR), Faith/Wes (Angel), Simon/Inara (Firefly), Mal/Kaylee (Firefly), Wolverine/Rogue (X-men), Ginny/Neville (HP), Snape/Lily (HP) (yes I'm one of those), Remus/Lily (HP), Tonks/Lupin (HP) (oh look something canon)

Favorite TV Shows: All Joss Whedon Shows (Buffy, Angel, Firefly), West Wing, and an odd enjoyment of the Power Rangers (mainly for Billy, although if I could manage to sit through more than one episode at a time I think I could fall for Cam or Chip)

Favorite Musical Artists: Ani Difranco, Bif Naked, Mandy Patinkin, Stephen Sondheim, Michael John LaChuisa, Jason Robert Brown

For those who are wondering whether they might like my fic I thought I'd give you a sense of my favorite love stories since they influence how I write:
- Jo/Professor Bhaer (Little Women) -- this has to go down as having the most influence, I read this when I was seven and never once thought she should have married Laurie. Periodically I read this again just to experience that little rush of euphoria when that shabby blue umbrella comes above Jo's head. (To be clear this does not include the most recent movie which despite my fondness for Gabriel Byrne just didn't work for me)
- The Secretary -- I'd totally suggest this movie. Despite the S&M qualities (or perhaps because of) this is a truly beautiful love story - Beatrice/Benedict (Much Ado About Nothing) -- You can't but laugh with their joy, and the catherdal scene is too potent for words
- Sense & Sensibility -- I have to confess I have never read the book, however the movie is a joy to watch, and I love that the younger sister made her match with the Colonel (which may have a lot to do with Alan Rickman)
- Remains of the Day -- Both the movie and the book (are you noticing that I have a penchant for restrained passion?)
- Besieged -- I love this movie. I've watched it way more times than I can count. The whole idea that someone so awkward and unlovable can become beautiful because of the love he has and what it prompts him to do gets me every time.
- Painted Veil -- The most recent version with Naomi Watts and Edward Norton. Okay its no Maughn, but that doesn't mean it didn't reach out and grab me.
