Author has written 26 stories for Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kingdom Hearts, and Harvest Moon. Listen up, Phones! The world ends with you. If you want to enjoy life, expand your world. You gotta push your horizons out as far as they'll go. --Sanae Hanekoma -x-X-x- Updates of randomness: 2/7/13- To put things simply, I'm on a hiatus right now. I kinda haven't been active since before Christams -_- I'll work on updating at least one story by the end of this week, but after that I'll be off for a while so I can work on my own novels... -x-X-x- Avatar: Akikoroid, as drawn by me :) There isn't much you need to know about me as a person. You may call me by my penname, A.J., and I would like to let you know my former user name was HarvestMoonAddict. I have a few reasons for changing it, but the main one would be because I used to be a terrible author--not only in my own stories, but to other people. I shamefully admit that a year ago I would flame stories I didn't like, and what's worse is that I did it still logged in. Yes, that means you might be on this profile because you saw my username in a nasty review and decided to check out who I was. I sincerely regret doing those mean, mean things to other fan authors, so please, accept my appologies. I am not that person any more, and when I have strong opinions about something, I will not outright say something spiteful. I put HarvestMoonAddict behind me, and now I go by Regardless1604. Thanks for understanding. I generally enjoy writing angst, friendship, family, hurt/comfort, and adventure. I've had people tell me I write good sad scenes, and some who think I do excellent comedy. I honestly have no clue if I do or do not, seeing how I haven't found my forte when it comes to writing styles. The biggest inspiration for my writing at this point would come from Rick Riordan (shocker, right?). Though The Chronicles of Narnia was the first full-length book series I ever loved while growing up, I have long since grown out of them. I will say Tolkien had a big impact on my tastes, even though I have yet to read his books, though I promised myself that I will one day. Just not this day. As I've said before, I'm lazy. BUT ANYWAY. I have watched the Lord of the Rings movies multiple times, loved them even more each time, and I would consider fantasy to be a big part of my childhood. I wish to become a best selling author one day, specifically in the fantasy genre, but I have noticed that my original ideas have been shifting to more realistic plots these days. I do happen to have a fictionpress account under the same user name here, but I'm not on it much and I haven't published anything. I'm pretty uneasy about publishing original stuff online, so I tend to shy away from that. But on another note, back to fanfiction, that is, I have great respect for people who can write good comedy, suspense, and mystery. The best humor I have ever read on this site is written by the author Do a Barrel Roll. I highly suggest reading her stories if you want a good laugh. I can't really say I'm a sucker for romance, but I guess I have to be subject to it, considering I spend a lot of time in the Harvest Moon community here. If you do too, you'll know what I mean. I've never been a mushy gushy person, but if romance is mixed in with tragedy in a well written, well thought out way, I will love it. I can't say I really like AUs, but there are a few I recall that were decent. I never, ever read lemon, and I stear clear of lime. A little bit of blood and gore doesn't bother me, but if it's on a Repo Men or Elfen Lied scale, I probably won't read it. The Seven Deadly Sins fascinate me, and I rather enjoy writing about the subject of vanity. Urban legends like the Slender Man or famous and almost fictionalized criminals like Jack the Ripper are topics of research I enjoy, and scaring the heck out of myself while doing so is half the fun. It gives me inspiration to write about crime, especially in the Harvest Moon world. I will never, ever write stories that have lemons, limes, or profanity in them. It is a matter of personal morals, and please also respect that fact when talking to me, thank you. I also do not read/write yaoi or yuri, due to my religious beliefs. Please don't take it that I'm a homophobe, because I do realize gay people are still people who have feelings. I just don't agree with the way they choose to live their lives. If you disagree, then okay; I respect your opinions. I just ask that you do the same for me. A note on shipping: When it comes to any and all series I'm into, I always ship canon. That doesn't mean I have to like it, but I don't get annoying about it like some people. Sure, I prefer Percy/Reyna to Percy/Annabeth and maybe I do like Haruhi/Hikaru over Haruhi/Tamaki, but that doesn't mean I don't ship the original couple. I mean, if it's canon, what can you do about it? Also, I'm incredibly slooooow at updating my stories. Please accept my dearest apologies about that, but these days I'm sorta busy to be writing fanfiction all the time, unlike last year :/ Besides writing, I have a few other hobbies. Art is a big one for me, and I plan on taking a course in graphic design when I go off to college. I also recently took up cosplay as a hobby, and when I say that I don't mean that I make costumes just to go to anime conventions in. I am legitmately making cosplay and styling wigs for fun. I'm also learning Japanese through the Rocket Languages program, and if you want to learn a second language that your school may not offer, I totally recommend this program. And while I do have a strong interest in anime, my reasons for learning Japanese have absolutely nothing to do with this fact (please don't take me for a weeaboo or even an "otaku" D:). I'm Japanese on my mom's side and we're learning it together, partly to "get back to our roots," plus the culture is beautiful. If you would like to know about my personal life, or at least as much as I am willing to tell you, read my updates at the top of the page. Otherwise, here are a few other things you might be interested in knowing: I am: Current series and/or fandoms of interest are: Due to some complications, I've had to create a forum for my challenges. You can also find me on my tumblr so follow me there if you want to I guess... Hopeful upcoming titles that will take forever to write (and probably never will be): Thanks for taking a moment to read through whatever it is that you read of my profile, and I hope you enjoy my stories, if you go through any, that is :D | |||||||||
