Hmmm, what about me and my fanfiction? I have interesting taste in pairings, as my stories may suggest. My first love pairing is Hermione and Draco, although even my creative mind is beginning to run out of justifications for the two of them that don't include HBP never happening. It is for this reason that I've been turning more to my second favorite pairing, Harry and Hermione. I can't explain why, I just feel like they're right for each other. Plus Ron bugs me a little bit so I will never ever write a Hermione and Ron fanfiction... NEVER. There, now that's out of the way :) I like Hermione and Blaise mostly because he sounds absolutely delectable in the books and I like writing Hermione. Mostly I think I cheer for the underdog pretty much no matter what I do, so the uncommon pairings suit me just fine. The closest I get to cannon is Tonks and Lupin :)
I am also known for copious use of smiley faces, as you may have guessed :) :)
Lets see, with genres other than Harry Potter I pretty much follow in the same vein. I like a lot of pairings that probably would never happen. Though I began as a Dark Angel Max and Logan shipper I most definately shifted to Max and Alec. This was largely because I feel like those two really have the power to understand each other. However, if you read my Dark Angel fics it becomes pretty clear that it's a good idea for me to stick with Harry Potter :). I don't write Buffy anymore but I was one of the original Spike and Buffy shippers back in the day even before Something Blue and the whole Spike loves Buffy phenomenon. I wrote a bunch about them on a different screen name.
I read a bunch of different types of fanfiction. I love reading Bones stuff and I've even written a Bones fiction but I'm too scared to put it up and risk mocking because I worry that it sucks. I read Instant Star fanfiction, Jude and Tommy all the way. That's pretty much it along with reading ridiculous amounts of Harry Potter fics.
Harry Potter is pretty much my scope of fanfiction these days. Most of the time I write when I have some kind of powerful emotion going. If I'm really sad or really angry I pick up my computer. Most often I write when I'm stressed. I love it an awful lot and it's so much of a release that I'll probably never quit. :) I do the best that I can when I write and I'm pretty sure I'm my biggest critic. I can't tell you how many times I've gone back and done little tweaks on stories. Most recently I've turned to completely reworking a few of my longer stories to make them what I consider better. I'm a perfectionist.
Pet peeves, I can't stand the blended nicknames for couples. In my mind it's not Harmony, it's Harry and Hermione, it's not Dramione, it's Draco and Hermione. I don't mind that other people use them as an identifier but I just can't bring myself to. Drives me up a wall.
Most of all what I appreciate is the fact that people love and respect the stuff that I write. If I can make someone happy with something that came from my heart and soul then I think that's pretty damn awesome. I really want to thank everybody who takes the time to read and review my stories and I'd like to say thanks to all the people who have favorited me and put me on author alert. Also, until today I hadn't a clue that I was in so many C2s! That's kind of awesome :) Thank you all. I'm going to keep writing for a long time and I certainly hope that you all want to keep reading.
