Author has written 8 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Song of the Lioness. Romeo: O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It's been close to three years since I wrote any serious fan-fiction at all. I've spent the past while focusing on my studies and classes. Lately I've been re-reading some of my favorite books, however, and with that came the end of any peace of mind as ideas started nudging my poor brain. I came back to re-read what I wrote, and I'm embarrassed to say that I've gotten more praise and good reviews than I should have. Many of my old reviewers are gone from ff.net, however, so it seems I'm all alone. I once thought that when I got older I would outgrow fan-fiction, and for a time it did seem that way. Yet as time passed, I realized that if I lost my ability to write and spin yarns, fiction or fan-fiction, I may never get it back again. There is a quality about writing- once you get started, it is difficult to stop. Conversely, once you stop, it may be impossible to get it back again. Not for all the good grades in this world will I sacrifice my ability to create ideas with the pen. Grades may teach you how to get a good job, a good house and a good income, but it can never give you imagination as storybooks do. I am currently writing a thesis paper for Epistemology and Literature at the moment (Jane Austen is a tough nut to crack sometimes). I also study Mathematics and History, though trying to figure out mathematical formulaes, I must say, is a piece of cake compared to understanding the moronic events that happened in the past. I often find myself growling at Winston Churchill's Iron Curtain speech. I'm also busy learning Japanese (on my own), as well as learning to cook and clean on my own so that when I move to Canada, I can take care of my older brother (though shouldn't it be the other way around?!). If you are an old reviewer who got alerted to an update, thanks for dropping by to see me again. If you are a new reviewer, feel free to send me any queries or comments. If you're someone who needs help, or inspiration, feel free to ask. I'm busy with my studies still, but I should still have more than enough time to spare. Try not to bug me too much, though. Till then, さようなら! White Phoenix Erialis | |||||||||
