Author has written 5 stories for Road, Dark Tower series, Hunger Games, and Silmarillion.

I really don't like writing about myself. Most of my life (at home) is centered around getting outside. I like to run, bike, hike, and I'm getting into backpacking and bowhunting. But I also like reading books and (really, really) like watching movies, so my passions are often in competition. If it's an endurance sport, then I'm a fan. Bicycle touring, long distance running, sea kayaking, anything that has people adventuring out into the world under their own propulsion is just amazing. The true definition of adventure, right there. Favorite Books: I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan. It's the only fantasy I really enjoy anymore. Any other fantasy is ultimately just LOTR concepts put through a blender and packaged differently. I love reading the Bible, because of the literary gold that it contains, as well as the personal conviction it elicits. Plus, it's generally a good idea to know what you believe, and not have other people tell you what you believe. I pretend like I read the classics, but I really don't manage to suffer through most of them for very long. The Road is another one of my all-time favorite books, as is nearly every other well-executed book or movie that is post-apocalyptic or dystopian. Movies: LOTR, the Book of Eli, Gladiator, I am David, the Ten Commandments (can't beat Cecille B. DeMille) and anything with Charleton Heston. So, yeah. If you're looking for some really long list of stereotypes in alternating bold and ordinary font (like so: I'm Japanese, so I must have pink stockings with anime characters) then I am sorry to disappoint. Really sorry. I guess I've not yet achieved that level of narcissism quite yet. Give me time, I'm working on it. (BTW, I am neither Japanese nor do I own pink stockings, thought I should clear that up.) As my profile picture indicates, I'm also a fan of all things nautical. Expect a postapocalyptic pirate work on fictionpress sometime within the next 40 years.
