| Simply Myself |
Updated: 13 February 2006 I'm back from London, gemmology certification and all. As there isn't nearly as much to do here in New Delhi, I will hopefully finally (finally, finally, finally, finally) get my butt in gear and start writing. About me: I am an eighteen-year-old Gemini on the cusp of Cancer and dedicated Slytherin who loves the color red. I am interested in everything. My not-so-secret ambition is to become the commander of the first manned mission to (and thus the first person on) Mars, although the way NASA's moving right now I may just give up on that and take over the world instead. I love and adore Discover Magazine. I was born in Hawaii, grew up in southern California, and have been living in Asia (Singapore and India) for over five years. I speak English, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, and a teeny bit of Hindi. I have a parti-colored Portuguese Water Dog named Howard, a Singaporean street cat named Meeps, and a younger sister. I also have a mind and imagination that never stop, as well as music in my head. I am mad for ballet. I am precise and articulate. I do not do interviews well. I have an outgoing, charming, gregarious side and a quiet, thoughtful side. I love to read and adore fantasy. My favorite authors are Phillip Pullman, Jonathan Stroud, and Lemony Snicket. I also like JK Rowling and Anthony Horowitz, but I don't think they have the same degree of originality in their writing styles. I strongly maintain that the villain is more important than the hero in a good story, which is why the villains are usually far more interesting. | |||||||||
