Author has written 91 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Angel, Star Wars, StarTrek: Voyager, Forever Knight, X-Men, X-Men: Evolution, Yu Yu Hakusho, Ranma, Harry Potter, Rurouni Kenshin, Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragon Ball Z, House, M.D., and Highlander. Currently I'm most active in the Dragon Ball Z fandom. With regards to my DBZ stories, the rules of the game that I've set for myself is that all my stories should fit together into a larger tapestry. I am trying to avoid AU's unless they're internally created alternate realities, like the Mirai Timeline. I'm trying very hard not to contradict or ignore cannon, but to work around it. For my purposes cannon is defined as the Viz translation of the Manga, it's my favorite version of DBZ, and it's a whole lot easier to check scenes in the books than it is to try find them in the anime. Filler from the anime and movies only applies if it's referenced. Because I like the Bardock Special, and because it's pretty much the only source of information on Saiyans before Frieza blew-up Vegeta-sai I've been treated it as equal to manga cannon. On the other hand, I think the Tuffles are fascinating to play with simply because of all the contradictory information on them. They aren't in the manga, in DBZ King Kai's information on them is highly suspect as he also claims that Vegeta-sai was destroyed by the planet's guardian, Baby's infromation in GT and the information presented in the movie "Plan to Destroy the Saiya-jins" contradicts some of what King Kai says. Even within the movie, the surviving Tuffle and Vegeta have fairly different versions of their shared history: The Tuffle claims that his people only tried to help the Saiyans and were repaid with death and distruction, Vegeta replies "What are you talking about? You treated our ancestors Saiya-Jins like slaves!" and since Vegeta doesn't generally make a practice of denying his violent past I'm inclined to believe he's truthfully relaying his history as he learned it. I'm also not inclined to think that the Tuffles were as nice as they claim to be given that both Baby and the Tuffle in the movie are quite happy to extract their vengence from people who were involved or even born at the time of the Tuffle-Saiyan war and also don't have a problem with making the entire population of Earth collatoral damage in their efforts to get revenge. Contradictory, conflicting accounts make the Tuffles fun to theorize about. Since GT doesn't have any manga counter-part I largely accept it as cannon, except for I can't stand Kuririn's relationship with his family as depicted in GT.
