Author has written 8 stories for Shakespeare, Star Wars, Sin City, Misc. Movies, Kingdom Hearts, and Harry Potter. Current Obsession: Bulma/Vegeta Hello all! Twenty-year-old writer who believes that finding a good, well-written, well thought-out, enjoyable and INTELLIGENT fic is, at the risk of sounding nauseatingly cliche, like digging in the dirt for diamonds. That's why I don't "favourite" many things--those found in my favourites have written something (or many things) that contained characters that were IN CHARACTER (imagine that!), good development, a good plot structure, and incredible delivery. Now, though I don't favourite many things, I will always leave a review, because I know how discouraging it is when you work SO hard on a fic (Lord knows I spend a week on one-shots alone) and you see that you have next to no reviews or worse, you work so hard on a fic and you see that you have A THOUSAND HITS andTEN reviews. So I suppose that this is my public service announcement: Please, please, please leave reviews--not just for me but for all fic-authors. Even if it's just a sentence, anything helps in encouraging authors. Even if you despise their fic and think it's a poorly written piece of crap, LEAVE A REVIEW TELLING THEM HOW THEY CAN IMPROVE, for the love of God, because if you don't, how are we going to fill this soil with diamonds if no one is willing to help in looking? I know that a lot of it is just plain laziness (I would know XD) and that sometimes you just don't feel like leaving a damn review but clicking on a little blue button and typing out at least one sentence on what you read won't kill you. If writers see a lot of hits on their story but no reviews, it makes them feel as if it's not even WORTH saying anything about, which is why even flames are better than saying nothing at all. So don't just sit there--review! Erm, so there. Yes I'm done with that. Hah. I'm clever. And presumptuous. But still clever. I am also considered the "one-shot queen" by many as I don't have any time to write novel-length fics. However, if I ever start one, you can bet your hat that I'll finish it. It drives me nuts when a writer with incredible talent ends up not finishing their story. It kind of makes me die a little inside. If you start something, finish it, unless, of course, your computer crashes or other bizarre circumstances arise. At least finish the novel first and post it in increments so that the readers don't have to be tearing themselves a part on the inside unless you're really super diligent. Yes, I know. I'm actually full of public service announcements. Deal with it. And with that said? Happy reading =) UPDATES: hiatus for now | |||||||||
