I am a completely incomprehensible mess of a human being. I'm working on that. I'm also working on In Ruins, a lengthy Pokemon (palletshipping!) fan fiction. Since the Pokemon series, both Satoshi and Shigeru have grown from children to near adults. And while Pokemon - a show for kids, about kids - is innocent, the truth is that after childhood, we all end up damaged by life, in one way or another. In Ruins is about how Satoshi and Shigeru get through that, and... how they get together. Guys, guys, this is fan-fiction after all, if we're not allowed to be a bit shameless here, then basically we never can! I've been writing more or less seriously for the past eight years. I first started writing on the internet in 2000 (I was ten) on a Pokemon forum, where we'd do round-robin style fan fiction. So, for me, In Ruins is a bit about going to my own roots - about looking at my own childhood dreams and my own adult realities. I've grown up a lot since I was ten years old and entered the world of Pokemon. That's just what people do, for good or for bad. I do believe, personally, that no matter how difficult it may be, it's better to focus on the positives of life. So I feel that my own writing has a lot to do with maturation, and finding that hope... that ultimately, even if it's bittersweet, the world is more sweet than bitter. That's what I believe.
