Author has written 8 stories for Flipped, Harry Potter, A.N.T. Farm, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Hunger Games. Hello. I see you've ventured onto my profile. I'm not sure whether you've clicked the wrong button, or you've decided to stalk me. Either way, welcome. Let's start with introductions, shall we? Hello. My name is pipevine swallowtail. (It's a type of butterfly.) No, I'm not telling you my real name. I am a female under the age of 25. (Go ahead, take a guess at my name and age. If you get it one right, I'll tell you what the other is, too.) I am one of the 311,591,917 people living in the United States. I play the piano and flute, and used to play the violin. I speak two languages fluently, including English, and am learning Spanish and Latin. I have an unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Les Miserables, and "Tears of Blood" by 24tributes24authors (or just 24tributes24authors in general). Is that enough for you, my stalker friends? No? Well then. Let's see. My beta is lingerings. I'm excited to start working with ExAmoreDolorem, who I am going to beta. My old pen names were IndigoDiamondsofDoom, Bookworms Rule26, TrueImage26, and Your Average Anomalous Writer. I cannot stop fangirling over Aaron Tveit, though there is a gigantic age gap there. The age gap isn't as big as the one between Soong Ching-ling and Sun Yat-Sen, so you can safely assume that I am no three-year-old. I update my profile regularly. Sometimes they're small updates, like adding another ship to a category, and sometimes they're big ones, like the addition of my rambles down below. That should satisfy you, now, shouldn't it? (Eh, don't worry. I'll add more stuff later.) House: Ravenclaw (Harry Potter series) Demigod parent: Athena, maybe Apollo (PJO/HoO) Faction: Candor, possibly Erudite (Divergent trilogy) Hunger Games tribute status: Died a few days after the bloodbath by something embedded in the chest/a slit throat (The Hunger Games trilogy) (I'm just so awesome I have my death planned out XD) A member of: Will Parry's universe (His Dark Materials), the Society (the Matched trilogy), most likely District 7 or 8(Hunger Games), Les Amis de l'abaisse (tell me you know what fandom this is from) Statuses I'm proud of: Not being a Twihard (Twihards are try-hards, and the books are terrible; I'm kind of a tolerant reader, and I couldn't even make it through the first book) Some things I'm working on, in order of most likely to be published to unwritten/un-plotted: Finnick and Annie's story in a one-shot-y style. It covers everything from when they met to when Finnick died. A Career-based one-shot. I've two and a half more sections to work on. Katniss and Peeta in the First Quarter Quell. Plotted and in the writing process. It might be hard because I've never attempted a long one-shot before. However, it has one HUMONGOUS, GINORMOUS, HORRIBLY BIG flaw in it; it kind of turns everything OoC. Ah, well, we'll see, huh? *nervous smile* If you like gymnastics, I might be posting a series called "The Triumphant and the Lost" on AO3. (I'll give you my account when it's up there.) It will be on the moments in competition when a gymnast fell, injured him/herself, or knows that they will win. So far, I've only got Nastia Liukin's 2012 Olympic Trials UB fall written, but am planning some, like Kerri Strug's famous vault from 1996, Alicia Sacramone's BB mount in the 2008 Olympics, Jordyn Wieber's 2012 Olympics Qual. moment, the Fierce Five team final victory, McKayla Maroney's silver in the VT EF, Gabrielle Douglas's event finals in UB and BB, and Aliya Mustafina's injury in the 2011 European Championship. A Clato friendship one-shot. Written, but must be replotted and subsequently rewritten. That's it for now. Of course I'm working on other things, but these are the most important. My favorite shippings (not necessarily, but oftentimes canon): Harry Potter: James/Lily Divergent: Christina/Will *is still crying* Tears of Blood/Bring Them to Their Knees: Moss/Aella, Damien/Anya, Roy/Skye, Aspen/Nella, Canicus/Admire Hunger Games: Haymitch/Maysilee, Prim/Rory (seriously, though. Who doesn't ship them?) Seven Kingdoms Trilogy: Fire/Brigan, Brocker/Roen, Katsa/Po PJO/HoO: Tratie His Dark Materials: Lyra/Will Les Miserables: Eponine/Combeferre, Eponine/Enjolras except on a lesser level than E/C, Marius/Cosette, Enjolras/Grantaire BroTP, one-sided E/R angst, one-sided Eponine/Marius angst (however much I hate the actual couple) Glee: Ryder/Marley (I don't hate Jake/Marley, but I like this better), Klaine, Brittana, Puck/Santana, Mike/Tina, Rachel/Brody, Sam/Blaine BroTP Gymnastics ships: Marolak (McKayla Maroney/Sam Mikulak), Danaly (Danell Leyva/Aly Raisman), Jonathan Horton/Haley Horton (I mean, they are married. and are expecting a kid. What's not to ship?) Real life ships (now, nobody get offended, please; they're mostly people I think would look very attractive next to each other): Aaron Tveit/Samantha Barks (see ramble below), Ramin Karimloo/Sierra Boggess, Hadley Fraser/Ramin Karimloo BroTP Shippings I like but don't ship with my entire being (Probably either canon or has a little hint of canon-ess): Harry Potter: Harry/Ginny, Dramione, Ron/Hermione, Fred/Angelina, George/Angelina Les Miserables: Courfeyrac/Jehan Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus: Percabeth, Thalnico, Frazel, Jeyna, Clarisse/Chris (I love how there are portmanteau ship names for pretty much all ships in PJO) Divergent: Tris/Tobias (I refuse to call him Four. Deal with it.) Matched: Cassia/Ky (Kyssia?), Cassia/Xander, Xander/Indie, Vick/Laney ToB/BTtTK: Hyre/Onyx, Roulla/Yiri, Roulla/Admire, Relk/cake XD Gymnastics ships: Raistafina (Aly Raisman/Aliya Mustafina), Danell Leyva/Aliya Mustafina Shippings I dislike (not canon, mostly) Hunger Games: Hayffie. I hate it. Hate it hate it hate it hate it hate it. Haysilee all the way! Well, actually, I really dislike anyone paired with Effie, especially Haymitch. It's just so...arggghhh! Les Miserables: Marius/Eponine. It's not like I hate it, but I don't ship it, either. I understand why people like this - unrequited love and all - but I just don't like it very much. Eponine and Marius both deserve happy endings, but Marius has already found his with Cosette. So why tear away Marius's canon happiness and make it Eponine's? She should be with Enjolras or Combeferre, anyway. :D Here's a random ramble for you (1/27/2013): (oh, hey, speaking of random rambles, technically, I do have a blog called "ramblerofrandomthings" but I've never used it) It's really weird how archives on different sites for the same fandom prefer different ships. For example, on the AO3 Les Miserables fandom, the fics are almost all E/R, while on the FF.net LM Musical fandom, it's mostly E/E. (Enjy's just that popular, huh?) On the FF.net LM Book fandom, I find that there's more diversity, like E/G, E/E, Eponine/Marius, Marius/Cosette, Valjean/Javert, Courfeyrac/all sorts of different people, and the occasional Grantaire/Gavroche friendship fic. It's odd. Maybe it's because people know what ships sail on what archives and flock there to publish their fics. I don't know. It's also weird how the story types are different, depending on the archive. There are many more university AUs on AO3 than here. I like them a lot. People stop pretending that Cosette doesn't exist and pair her with Marius, and either Eponine and Cosette or Eponine and Grantaire are best friends. They're all quite adorable and humorous. Speaking of that... EPONINE AND COSETTE AS COLLEGE FRIENDS AND ROOMMATES IS SO CUTE. AND GRANTAIRE AND EPONINE AS DRINKING BUDDIES AND BEST FRIENDS SINCE KINDERGARTEN IS JUST AS ADORABLE. AND THOUGH I STILL SHIP E/E A LOT, I THINK ONE-SIDED E/R AND ONE-SIDED EPONINE/MARIUS IS GOOD, TOO, IF THE ANGST IS WELL-WRITTEN. Ahem. Sorry. (for not being sorry) If one more person claims that their life is exactly like Eponine's life, I might explode. Do you live in France in 1832, with thieving, abusive parents who don't care about you? Do you have no food to eat, no new clothes, no education, and do you have to resort to stealing and selling yourself? No. You do not. Just because your love for someone is unrequited does not automatically mean you're totally like Eponine. (Seriously, though, who cares about your lonely soul?) Update (2/28/2013): So I think I've made a decision: I like Combeferre/Eponine better than Enjolras/Eponine. I'm probably influenced by how utterly terrible most E/E stories are, while on AO3, a fair amount of modern day university AUs that feature E/R have some pretty well-written Combeferre/Eponine fluff. (wheee) Here's the thing: Though Aaron Tveit and Samantha Barks haven't so much as taken a photo together, and Sam and Killian Donnelly are rumored to be dating, I still ship Aaron/Sam. They're adorable! But then again, I'm fairly certain that Samantha Barks and Killian Donnelly brought on the whole Eponine/Combeferre thing. So without them, my world will keep on turning, except without this pairing that I've come to love. (Gosh, that attempt sucked.) But SAM AND AARON AHHHHHHHHHH SOMEBODY SAVE ME FROM THIS ATTRACTIVENESS SERIOUSLY THEY'RE LIKE BEAUTIFUL DISNEY CHARACTERS COME TO LIFE The bad jokes section: If pro is the opposite of con, is progress the opposite of Congress? How did the hipster burn his tongue? He drank coffee before it was cool. Why did the baby cookie cry? His mother was a wafer (away for) so long. (This one I stole right from a math worksheet from a long time ago.) | |||||||||
