Author has written 2 stories for Shaman King, and Death Note. There's not much to tell... Potashiamu is the Japanese for potassium. I chose that name because on the periodic table, potassium is represented by K, the letter my name starts with. Hey, everyone I talked to thought it was cool. I live in Canada, and I'm fluent in French and Japanese. I've been 20 for a while, and I've resumed writing fanfiction after years and years of not posting anything. I'm only working on one story right now, Deus Ex Machina. It's set in the era of the Templars, right before the French king puts pressure on the pope to eliminate them (the knights). Before they were disbanded, some templars were tortured for false confessions, as they were suspected of being something of a secret society, and some were then, in turn, burnt at the stake. Anyways, I hope people are interested enough to read, because the setting (it might scare a few away) will soon become less and less important, and the story will mainly focus on the L and Light characters, and their developing relationship with each other. L will cause Light to begin to question his faith, while the actions and personality of Light may in turn serve to make L believe in something greater than himself. Cheesy, but read, and I hope you enjoy. The ending might just be the best thing ever... and if you're worried about not enough of the original Death Note setting, I've kept the handcuffs, the struggle between the two different ideas of justice, and the tension that whatever develops between them could end as soon as one has the opportunity to kill the other. Should be good. The whole reason for the traveling back in time/reincarnation theme is because the relationship between the two just seemed like there was something there before... As if they had met again for a reason; probably to get revenge upon one another. I was interested in trying to create past lives for both of the men, and seeing where it took me... which obviously leaves much possibility for a sequel or two, I suppose. For anyone who wonders, probably not many of you, Deus Ex Machina is a latin term for a device used by inexperienced/bad writers... literally "God out of a machine", and is reference to when a fantastic person or ability materializes without real logical reason, and happens just in the knick of time to save the characters from a terrible predicament. For example, in a lot of Greek myths, a mortal is suffering/trapped/about to die, and a God or Goddess appears at the last possible moment, without any previous involvement, and saves the day. I just thought that was interesting, personally. | |||||||||
