Author has written 6 stories for Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon, Fearless, CSI: Miami, Sailor Moon, Alias, and Gundam Wing/AC. Coming up in the days when Melrose Place (the original--not that junk ass remake) and the Sweet Valley World reigned supreme (for some), I am writer of puzzling difficulty. My more recent stories lack the staggering soap-operesque drama as my earlier attempts, but unfortunately I suffer from rampant verbosity. (Is that a word? Oh well.) But then again, I could be just exaggerating and you could read me just fine. Oh well. My imagination causes me vexation because I have't finished a story yet. Well, except one, but I can't post it here because it is mostly an Orlando Bloom fanfic. As soon as I get knee-deep in one, I think of another. But I hope to remedy that problem with a bit of dilgence since I have more nights free nowadays. The Stuff I Love: Unrated Actresses. Example #1: Trini Alvarado. I recently, during the Halloween movie influx, watched a movie called The Frighteners. Lord of the Rings fans might recognize the name of this film because Peter Jackson directed it. While watching I saw a familiar face... "Hey, it's Meg from Little Women!" She made so much of an impression on me that I ended up buying Stella and The Perez Family just to see her in them. Eventually I got on the Internet and tried to learn more about her, but unfortunately there is so pitifully little to be found. She is my inspiration for the character Isabelle Flannery in The Tricorn. I've started a website on her, and I hope more people learn about her. Example #2: Robyn Lively. I have adored Robyn since the first time I watched Teen Witch in my middle school years. I came into Savannah way too late and had to buy a fan-made DVD which is surprisingly good. She is top billed on the show's credits but Jamie Luner is better remembered. Understandable I guess, but... People know about her younger siblings Eric (So Weird, I think?) and Blake more, and I think she deserves more work. She and Trini both. She also inspired my creation of Jessica Thomas a long, long time ago. Adorable Men. Example #1: Michael Vartan. A recent obsession sparked by watching Never Been Kissed on a boring Thursday night. Like with Trini, I bought One Hour Photo and It Had To be You just to see him in it. (Photo still creeps me out, though; Robin Williams was too convincing.) I'd already owned Monster-in-Law and he is absolutely glomp-worthy in that, too. He is the reason I got into Alias finally, but the show is good, I found, for other reasons, too. He is attractive in a boyish sort of way. Example #2: Henry Cavill. Uh, The Tudors' first episode, about a third of the way in. Hello?! Need I say more? but he was also adorable in Red Riding Hood. (Don't we all wish we could get our teeth to twinkle when we smile? Sigh.) I would go on, but I have a feeling I'll be going on all day. Example #3 and #4: Orlando Bloom and Jack Davenport. The Calcium Kid and Coupling. I think that sums it up. ("I'm just worried about your face!" Love it!) Kicking it Old School. Music is so varied these days, and anyone can find something they like, but I can't help but to go back to the music I listened to back in the day. While driving yesterday, I skipped over P!nk's "So What" (an awesome song, though) for Surface's "Happy." It takes me a bit to catch up, and I am just now finding my inner Keyshia Cole. ("Heaven Sent," hell yes!) Though, right now, I'm bobbing my head to Britney Spears. Yeah, I killed the lights. The Stories I've Written: 1. What Took You So Long? An obvious tie-in to the Emma Bunton song with the same name. My attempt to put together the strong and silent Trowa Barton with the fun and flighty Jennifer Dunne and include Nicole Smith and Duo Maxwell playing the dozens as many scenes as possible. It is an early link to the later Pretty Soldier Midnight Moon, which I have also become stuck upon. Unfortunately, I think my What Took You So Long? playlist is more enduring than the story, he he. 2. Codename: Manhattan Supergirl. One of my favorites. FEARLESS' Gaia Moore teams up with Heero Yuy spawn Josephine Yuy, who, to some seemed like a major Mary Sue. Sigh. What can you do when your parents kick ass and you inevitably kick ass too? Oh well. This story unfortunately has stalled, but I hope to pick it back up someday. It's a cool story, and I loved putting Gaia and Josie together. Sadly, I don't have a playlist for this one. 3. Pretty Soldier Midnight Moon R: SM Revival. When I was a sophomore in high school, I had started constructing what would become this. I made up new senshi, though, now they seem outlandish. Will I pick this back up? I'm not sure because like WTYSL the playlist seems more enduring. "Just Let Me Cry" is Usagi's image song, so to speak. 4. Moonlight Legend. Sailor Moon fans will probably get a chuckle out of this one. No--this is not a Sailor Moon fic. This is my first CSI: Miami fic pairing Horatio and his team with the legendary Tiger Squad. I think I lost people after chapter nine and I don't blame them. But the scenes with Horatio against Jessica were a blast to think up and write. And here's the punchline: the sequel I had planned was called Moonlight Destiny, and yes, Usagi was set to appear in it. Oh me and my imagination... 5. Infinity. The replacement for The Tricorn. I started watching Season Three a little more and decided that the tale of the Tricorn would be better set during Season Three. Infinity retains the friendship between Isabelle Flannery and Nicole Smith that I loved so much (what, you didn't?) but leaves out the Thomas-Wolfe family (well...at least for now), Cameron Cook, and Benjamin Anderson-Lewis (aka the mysterious man Jack talked to). Infinity was originally the title for the sequel to the Tricorn, and I had even written some scenes for it (my favorite was the dinner scene where Sydney hears Isabelle's voice in her head...ooh!), but I'd decided to take a different route. On my website, I've posted the finished chapters of the Tricorn and the unfinished stuff from Infinity. (The Infinity posted here is affectionately named on my computer Infinity, the Reprise.) Do I feel better about the new Infinity? Slightly. I'm intrigued to find out how readers to react to Maura Ayala. Who? You'll see... 6. Strange Bedfellows. My first GW entry on FF.net and and my newest GW fic in a while. I had been watching the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith a couple of years ago when I started to ask myself, Hey...what would it be like if it had been Heero Yuy and his wife? I meant well, but two years ago it really didn't get past the idea stage. Two years later (the present), I picked it back up, and the story began to shift in interesting ways. I have to admit, though, Danie makes me cringe for the first chapter or two (for me, she is badass in the Prelude. But like I said, that's just for me; think what you will). It will also be the second time that I write Relena Peacecraft in an appealing way... What? Yeah, she's not my favorite Gundam Wing character, but what can you do? Not much of a playlist yet, but I do rock out to "Around the World" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for the Prelude... The Forbidden List 1. The Tricorn. My most recent story. I actually made up the concept for the Tricorn (yes, I know, it's a hat, lol) for another story, but I tried it out here, and this is what came out. I feel rather ambiguous about it at the moment; it is my first Alias fic (as I warn people in the Prelude), and I don't know if watching Seasons One and Two for two weeks straight helped me get the characters right or not. I am rather enjoying pairing both Sydney and Vaughn with my own characters even though they will inevitably end up together. (Hey--I am not immune to the S/V love; I watched "Counteragent" earlier this morning and...whew! I almost cried and I am not a crier. It was so sweet.) 2. The Gifted. I had originally started a FEARLESS fanfic called The Gifted, but I had decided to use the concept for an Alias fanfic. It seemed like a cool idea, but it wasn't getting much response so I deleted it. If you're interested in reading it, the existing chapters are posted on the Midnight Moon website. What is Midnight Moon? Don't ask... sweatdrops The Stuff I Would Like to Do (or Read) (Story-wise): 1. Alias: Sam Coulson, Literature Teacher. Ooh, really? I think it would be cool to read a Never Been Kissed/Alias crossover. What? Yeah, I know I'm crazy. Something about the fact that Sam Coulson and Michael Vaughn both love hockey, date poisonous blondes, and became teachers (well, Vaughn for a bit) makes me wonder what sort of story could come out of that. Vaughn undercover at South Glen posing at Sam Coulson--could it happen? In the fiction world, probably. Someone better than I am could make that gold. (I think the author of Snowbound could do it. What? Just saying, lol...) 2. Moonlight Destiny. Even though I poked fun at the concept earlier, I really wouldn't mind doing a CSI: Miami/Sailor Moon crossover. I imagine a scene with Usagi and Horatio Caine in my head with cherry blossoms blowing in the wind... Intiguing... | |||||||||||
