Author has written 4 stories for Poker Night at the Inventory, Super Smash Brothers, Legend of Zelda, and Minecraft.

My username is RLYoshi. My real name is Max, but that's all I'm telling about my name. I live in Canada (eh?) and love video games. While my favourite series is Legend of Zelda, I do still like several other franchises and one-off games.

I also write original stories over at FictionPress.com. Here's a link to my profile: http://www.fictionpress.com/~rlyoshi

SOME FACTS ABOUT ME YOU PROBABLY DON'T CARE ABOUT:

Name: Max (real life), RLYoshi (the Interwebz)

Age: 14

Birthday: December 30th, 1996

Born In: Westlock, Alberta

Currently Live In: Nice try, stalkers! All you'll know is it's in Canada, and it's not where I was born.

Achievements: Memorized (and performed for a large crowd) the Periodic Table of Elements song by Tom Lehrer; got 115 typing WPM, which is my personal best and my average is 100; beat Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's main story in one day; reached 500 subscribers on YouTube; convinced a random person online not to commit suicide; learned to read on my own; got a babysitting license at 11 years old.

Problems: I have Aspergers Syndrome; I am easily distracted (may or may not have ADHD); things I dislike are usually things other people like and vice versa; I often forget what I was about to say the second before I say it.

Favourite Game Franchise: The Legend of Zelda

Least Favourite Game Franchise: Donkey Kong

Favourite Game Ever: Minecraft

Least Favourite Game Ever: Tie between Donkey Kong Country Returns and Simpsons Road Rage

Shames: Like the Super Mario Bros. Movie; still play with Nerf Guns.

Misc. facts: I am a betareader; Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is my favourite GameCube game and my third-favourite game; Super Smash Bros. Brawl is my favourite Wii game and my second-favourite game; I think Portal 2 is better than the original Portal; I do let's plays and video game reviews on YouTube; I own a 3DS but still consider it having been extremely overpriced; I appear to have the superpower of always being alone.

FACTS ABOUT MY FANFICTION PREFERENCES:

-Bad spelling and grammar puts me off. Having, like, one or two screwups a chapter is okay, but if it reaches the point where u kinda sey stuf liek tis don't expect to keep me as a reader. Basically, leetspeak and otherwise horrible proofreading in fanfics make me want to click the little red X in the upper-right-hand-corner.

-I mainly read fanfiction about video games, and even then only games I play. I like Zelda fanfiction as probably #1, with Mario and Pokemon tied for #2.

-I don't care how popular a fanfiction is. If it's been read and reviewed a million times per chapter or I'm the first viewer, its popularity doesn't determine whether or not I'll read it even in the slightest. It's how good it is. I get annoyed when people say I should read so-and-so just because its popular. Popular doesn't really mean good...except for the writer.

FACTS ABOUT MY FANFICTION:

I am currently writing one multi-chapter story, "Legend of Notch: Music Disc of Time", as well as some one-shots for when I feel like it. Legend of Notch is my current priority.

If I'm taking a while uploading the next part, that's just because I either haven't gotten it back from my betareader with corrections, or I've been away from home for a while and couldn't write. I will, however, be sure to let you know ahead of time if the latter is about to happen. I have also decided that if I send my newest part to my betareader and I don't get an "okay" or a corrected version within roughly a month (basically 30 days), I'll just do a quick proofread on my own to make sure I still like it and then upload it anyway. So if I don't update for a couple of weeks, it's not cancelled.

It might also be worth mentioning that, currently, I don't know what genre I'm best at. Obviously I'm focusing on humor right now, but I might switch it into darker and edgier territory at some point, or one of my future fanfics will be focused a lot more on the action than the jokes. This is to get a feel for the genres I want to try out and see what I'm best at.

To keep things simply for readers: If one of my fanfics has "Parody" or "Humor" as one (or both) of the genres, it's a comedy; "Adventure" is a bit more action-based, but still with some funny bits; "Drama" and/or "Tragedy" is likely to be downright dark (and probably rated T as well). If something starts out funny but switches to dark (or vice-versa), it'll be categorized as "Humor" and "Drama", or possibly "Humor" and "Adventure" if it doesn't get too dark.

I have a habit of putting the rating for my stories as T, even though I'm not completely one-hundred-percent sure that should be it. Multi-chapter stories will be rated T in case of any stuff in the future. If I know for a fact it's not T-worthy, I'll give it what I believe is a proper rating, usually K+. If I rate any of my one-shots as something when it should be something else (like I rate it as T when it fits better as K+), please let me know ASAP and I'll fix it! Thanks!

MY FAVOURITE FANFICTION:

I have two favourite fanfictions right now. They are "Group of Weirdos" by Mr. Light Chicken Bulbs and "Better Off Alone" by The Great Chicken Miasma. I seem to have a fascination with fanfics with writers involving chicken. Leeroy Jenkins has taken his toll on me.

Though they are not my absolute favourites, I do like other stories as well. I have too many to list, so let me just say about half of them are Zelda ones.

RANDOM OTHER THINGS FOR THOSE WHO READ THIS FAR:

If I read a story and think it's really good, I probably won't leave a review unless it's just so awesome I need to express my feelings for its coolness. However, I recently decided to start using my reviews for suggestions, critisism, etc. I am never trying to be rude or anything, but if I say I found a problem that will almost always just mean "Here's something you missed, fix it if you want".

As for critic reviews on my stories, I'm fine with them. If you're being nice, giving suggestions and showing me something I may have screwed up, I'll be grateful and do my best to avoid that problem in the future. However, if your review is something along the lines of "DUDE YOU SUCK YOU SPELLED MARIO'S NAME WRONG", I will proceed to flip you off mentally and ignore anything you make in the future, whether it be stories, reviews, etc.

As I said above, I'll be getting a betareader for my long stories, but one-shots or stories with just two to three chapters will just be written and put up. My one-shots are usually just ideas that couldn't be put into a full story, but I liked nonetheless.

And now, something for us all to remember: If you like something, you shouldn't be afraid to admit it. For example, I am a brony. Deal with it. RLYoshi, signing off.
