Author has written 11 stories for Mummy, Secret Garden, Last of the Mohicans, Star Wars, and Ironman. she was nothing but a vague sentiment lying on the dirty pavement. -Clarice Lispector "Hour of the Star" Ok, about me. Hm. I'm a student, so I'm broke, and I still work full-time, so unfortunately that has a huge impact on updating. I'm not going to put a whole list of my likes and dislikes, cause who really cares anyway. I would like to write more about myself, however every time I write something about myself on my profile page is comes out sounding childish and very junior highish, so it's probably for the best if I just keep quiet, lol. :) Stories The Unfortunate Amulet: It is sad how much I despise this story. I started writing it when I was rather young and all it seems to be is a giant mixture of bad writing, marysues and a plot very similar to Indiana Jones. I hate even having it on my account. The plot makes no sense, the characters are stereotypical and plain dumb, and I honestly refuse to ever look at it again. However, the ONLY reason why I haven't taken it down yet it because of all the reviewers who decided to look past the inconsistencies and claim to like it. It is up for them, definately not for me. A Feeling Untouched: Yet another victim of my Mummy phase, this was originally intended to please one writer and friendly critic who I admired greatly and who was a great fan of Imhotep/Evy fanfiction (which really I am not). However I was totally caught off guard how many people enjoyed this pairing and the slightly alternate universe that it was set in. I would love to continue it, only I cannot promise a good plot as I am totally winging it, as I have no real passion for Imhotep/Evy fics. People Of The Mist: Another Mummy fic?! I'm actually kind of really proud of this story thus far. It is slightly based off the story "Daughter of the forest" by Juliet Marillier, but only a tiny bit. Some parts are excessivaly long and useless, but I really don't care enough to delete, lol. However so far it doesn't seem to be catching on in the Mummy realm, and I completely understand. A huge portion of it seems to be set in ancient Ireland, and is seemingly unrelated to The Mummy. However I have this whole complex (not really) but long explanation for how Danu's character is tied to Ardeth's character, so for these reviewers patience is truly a virtue. A Cage For An Ivory Elephant: I like this story, but I'm not excessively proud of it. I just use it to practice on my overuse of adjectives and pointless thoughts. jk. This story I'm pretty much winging it, but I do appreciate the lovely comments and constructive critism that I am recieving. When I first uploaded this story, there were only about 12 old fanfics up and I was not expecting to get ANY reviews, as SG fanfics did not seem overly popular. Imagine my surprise when the whole site just seemed to bloom as fans crept under the petals and revealed themselves. When I discovered the Secret Garden, I knew I had no choice but to write a story, even at the expense of getting no reviews. However I was shocked at the number of reviews I did recieve, and still unable to grasp the concept that so far people seem to be liking it, which in my previous experience on writing fanfiction I had still been maturing. Splendid Sorrows: I should definitely try to update this more often. I think it's just the common trend for every LOTM writer, to not update. I'm really enjoying writing this story thus far, although I often find mistakes and I wonder if I should invest in a beta reader. I have so many different ways of wanting to express this story, but sometimes the ideas just get intermingled and suddenly... bleh... story of my life. I'm going to edit parts of Chapter 2, as I hate how I ended it and I was just in a hurry to upload it. The problem with me and this story was that I invested a lot of time and effort into the first chapter, way more than I usually do, and I was actually pretty proud of it. But now I have to put that same time and effort into the next chapters so that there's some kind of continuity, so yea. Usually the writing of this story will get done on those rare moments when I'm wistful, so here's hoping. | |||||||||||
