At the end of our days, all we have are the real things we've done in our lives. Not the house, trinkets and balance in our bank accounts. The love and beauty we have brought to others, smiles, family, sunshine, love and everything described as sentimentality. Is it so wrong to want more than a materialistic vacuum where pretty things and status mean more than living? It's demanded we sacrifice our lives to a machine slowly draining away every last good point to being human. So I take a stand and declare to the world there is more to life than sacrificing a short existence to a career- that we need to stand up and fight to protect future generations so they know the wonder of life. Not a world so cold, it's measured in numbers. Where lives both spent and to save are so incredibly cheap.

So don't just copy and paste. Tell the world how you truly feel and fight for what you believe in with all your heart and soul.

Welcome to my profile. I’m Allison, a young woman with a completely different kind of life than most girls my age. I write and I see the world in its true hues instead of the deception governed by the Powers that Be.

I have been writing stories since I was about eleven or twelve and have improved much since. And I am finished with fanfiction, so now this account is more or less here for my finished stories and reading/reviewing. Except when I have moments of temporal insanity.

I love science fiction and fantasy- and that’s where my stories come from- original and fanfiction. I find telling stories through those genres flow better for me than others. Or that just might be my dislike of the constant parade of CSI and clones. The only decent crime investigation show on air is NCIS.

Fanfiction wise- I appreciate stories regardless of writing level as long as characters are actually within character. I understand AU and events changing a character- but if you remove their name the character should still be recognizable and have ties to their original form. Too often I see DA fanfiction with a not-Max ( the only part of her that is Max is the name), a not- Alec ( who has lost most of his character flaws and history that would prevent such a relationship) together and a not-Logan ( who is every form of wrong and is only Logan in the name). If you love Alec so much and hate Logan- write an OC… Mary Sue for hell hath’s sake but do not twist canons. It’s a form of tragedy when reading any other pairing in the DA section, has more quality than around eighty five percent of M/A fics.

You want to write Max and Alec together- congratulations for you. Logan would still be Max’s friend, would still look out for her and be a part of her life. He would not sell her out, have cheated on her, stalk her or half the vile things written. Otherwise you are just being lazy.

However M/A writers who do write Logan and the other characters IC, and write original pieces should be praised. To me Max and Logan just is. Rachel Berrisford was Alec’s Logan ( no slash intended) and Logan is Max’s Rachel. The only way Max wouldn’t still love Logan would be if he was dead. They – the two damaged and messed up people in the world just fit together. Logan is an amazing character within his own right and should be praised for being really well written. He is complex- and a completely fascinating study.

Alternate Universe was my niche and I love to read and I loved to write it. The ‘what if’ question is one that keeps you thinking and I love to think of what could have happened. Ironically, I like the canon story for my novel series' universe, so I guess it's a matter of the direction picked that you, yourself like the most.

I hate people who write fusion style fanfiction- where you put the characters from one universe into the story of another- who lose who the characters are and all they do is not much more than change the names around. It’s lazy, it’s plagiarism and should be stamped out.

I like ambiguous evil creatures who are torn between night and day- good and light. But with few exceptions I like my vampires evil and without the bad make up from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I mostly do not hate vampire romance authors- but they do frustrate me. Do we really need a creature that drains your blood, and such- to be romantic? Humanity in the vampires is one thing, and the vampires of the tv series and book series ‘Vampire Diaries’ does it well even with the romance- but does it really need to be this done to death?

I am currently as I said writing my series of novels. Currently I am reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. Television wise – it’s NCIS, Covert Affairs The Big Bang Theory and the Vampire Diaries. I love the game series 'Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic', not the MMO, the Mass Effect series and Dragon Age.

As a person, I am called by those nearest and dearest to me- blunt and sometimes my honesty forgets that tact exists. I don’t see the point in being somebody I am not- except when it would cause far more harm than good. And that’s not online- online I act like me.

Appearance: 5’8' and brunette with natural blonde highlights and waves. My hair reaches just past my shoulders and I have grayish/greenish blue eyes that show up pure blue on film and photos. I look young mostly for my age and still get mistaken for sixteen/seventeen and a high school student. But apparently when I had a bad headache and was dark under the eyes, much make up and such I was called twenty six. Achievement. But that was from a distance. So I still get called younger despite a new part in my hair that helps- and all I need to do to fix it is wear make up too much the wrong way and have my head splitting in pain. Just peachy.

On the converse, I actually was carded for an MA movie that you have to be older than 15 yrs. to watch and my best friends who are months younger than me? No problem there- I nearly died of humiliation. I am so lucky I hate alcohol and don't smoke- otherwise it would be a weekly kick in the butt.

Discontinued Fanfictions

Apart from the obvious anything that stands at only a one chapter. I have discontinued Keep Me In Mind. For the SG1 fanfiction it was an absolute case of bad timing, I was starting to plot my novel at a point and it was space/sci fi as well which I now refuse to write fanfiction in that genre... and the fact in the year prior I was turned off writing Stargate SG1 completely by the ' Stargate: the Ark of Truth'... it is an insult to an amazing series to have ended the Ori arc with that movie. It massacred virtually every character except for Teal'c and Tomin- the story was a joke and I now go green at the sight of replicators. It was a terrible movie in it's own right. I do have an old story arc planned for it, and if anyone would like to continue it they are welcome just pm me first.

I am very sorry, I really am. I can't finish that story and that's on me, and that's not going to change- an abridged version of 'Whatever It Takes' is pending construction and spare time.

Dark Angel High actually got completed and may be edited and posted sometime in the next month, just for completion’s sake.

On Anonymous Reviews/ Flames:

I allow anonymous reviews on a matter of principle, and quite often tolerate quite a bit, of sometimes inane useless comments. But a recent flame makes me put the following in writing. If you add a review, simply to flame me I will delete it. If you're going to flame me at least have the common decency to log in and do it. I love constructive criticism but telling someone to stop writing and any number of insults without a single reason? I've seen writers give up and delete amazing stories so I have no tolerance for flamers. You certainly must have better things to do. And for Zoar's sake, please at least put some grammatical and spelling effort into your flames. The amount of stories I've seen with flames misspelling 'moron' and other such insults only serves to make me wonder how old you are.

Help aim for season 3 dark angel at www.petitiononline.com/one23/petition.html and always keep the hope for Dark Angel alive. Please do not PM me for any RPG writing group, or writing requests for stories as answer will disappoint as a refusal unless you are a friend or a part of the Ace Lightning message board fan community- few we are.
