Well Hello, fellow Lecterphile!

Would you like to know something about me? A sample then, why not!

EDUCATION: Master's Degree, but not in Literature- no writing classes other than the basic college requirements.

I'm actually an artist but love the character of Hannibal Lecter and am fascinated with his complex relationship with Clarice. My avatar is an example of my original work. I love drawing portraits. I work in pencil mostly but I've been known to dabble with pastels and oils.

No More a Savage Life is my first attempt at writing a fic of my own. I am fascinated with the characters and will continue to develop my own versions of their lives.

Location:USA- New England, I've had many excellent meals here!

About Me:I am a wife, a mom, an artist and potentially a writer- perhaps you can judge whether or not I am qualified.

I am old enough to remember the Sixties!

Things I love:

My husband (11/10/12 Rest in Peace, my Love), and my children, they are my life.

Anthony Hopkins in anything and everything! He is brilliant!

Writing for my pleasure and hopefully yours.

Status update: CHAPTER 67 will be up tomorrow!

IF YOU WANT ADDITIONAL UPDATES (AND LITTLE HINTS ABOUT THE UPCOMING CHAPTERS) FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER @This_is_LH

I'LL FOLLOW YOU BACK AND U CAN CHAT WITH ME AND MY OTHER FANFIC FRIENDS!

I can't go on ff.net freely during the day because of the internet filters at work (mature rated sites are red-flagged), so I'm not as quick to get back to readers as I'd like. So, if you want to shoot me a message- just tweet away!!

SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE TAKEN THE TIME TO PM, REVIEW, or LIST EITHER MYSELF AS A FAVORITE AUTHOR OR ADD ONE OF MY STORIES TO THEIR FAVORITE LIST! It is the highest of all compliments and I am humbled by the honor. Thank you so much!

Hannibal Junior's (Devyni) vital stats:

There are no coincidences in fan fiction, least of all in our little corner of Lecterland. I've gotten several inquiries about how I decided the date and time of the baby's birth so I thought I'd offer the explanations.

The baby's birth time was 12:31 a.m., chosen to celebrate the only true Hannibal it's Anthony Hopkins birthday, so, thanks T-Hop!

The birth date itself, April 26th, is not only the birthday of Marcus Aurelius, the historic figure significant to Hannibal and Clarice from SOTL, but also the birthday of Evelyn, Lusting4Lecter's mother (I envy your alias, my dear friend!). It is an homage to our friendship. TWIN!!!

The weight and length of Devyni that of my own son! Hope that makes sense and satisfies those who were curious!

FAN FICTION I LOVE: Any fic that involves Hannibal and Clarice's relationship. This does not have to include lemons, though they can be fun if the writer is not self-conscious about the process. If you don't feel comfortable going all out with it- don't bother. Hannibal's mind games written by clever people! Hannibal is a tough character to write dialogue for so anyone who can get that characterization correct deserves kudos!

FAN FICTION I HATE: Any fic that kills off the main characters- it seems sacrilegious. Although I have loved some fics that have.

Any fic that has Hannibal either babysitting some new boy or girl "junior killer" or has Hannibal taking the new Kiddie Cannibal under his wing. Although he has played the mentor (more for his amusement than anything else) I don't think playing babysitter is in his nature.

Okay here's one that really caught me off guard- Hannibal as a gay man. REALLY? Come on! There is no reason to change the sexual preference of the character.

Fics based on song lyrics-Not that they're bad but if you aren't familiar with the song you can't really relate.

Any fic that dramatically changes the history of the main characters such as adding family members or siblings to Clarice or Hannibal's background. Adding characters is fine-it's expected, but giving the characters siblings or extended family members that radically changes canon seems unnecessary to me.

Fiction that alters the personalities of the main characters. OOC situations can happen when writing but if the characters stray too far it is disconcerting. For example, Hannibal is a gentleman and is never rude. He follows a very strict moral code. He wouldn't bed down with a teenager for god's sake!

I will give any fic a chance and people have surprised me with stories I thought I would hate when I read the description but fell in love with so none of the above is written in stone!

If you read a fic spend a few moments to review! Writers are solitary creatures and the writing process is a singular endeavor. It becomes communal on a site like this when readers take a moment to provide feedback.

Movies and television: Obviously the Hannibal Lecter series with ANTHONY HOPKINS AS THE GOOD DOCTOR. The other movies are fine but Hannibal and Hopkins are linked in my mind! Again, anything with Anthony Hopkins (I'd listen to him read the phone book).

Dr. Who- BBC America!!! Yes!! David Tenant was absolutely epic. The jury is out on Matt Smith but there have been some good episodes with him- the Van Gogh episode was incredible! I will withhold judgment for future.

Horror if it's got a point- none of that slasher gore, although Zombies rock!

Good Dramas and old movies with Bogart, Tracy, Lancaster and let us not forget Chaplin, a genius.

Sounds I love: Typical New England sounds- Raging thunderstorms, waves lapping at the shore, and that eerie silence following a heavy snowfall.

Sounds I hate: Fingernails on a blackboard, anyone who consistently whines and complains-just get over yourself and obnoxious people who crank the bass or blast the music so much on their car stereos that it feels like a punch in the stomach when you're sitting near them in traffic.

MUSIC: Classical it's Bach, Mozart, Pavarotti- Ave Maria Nessun Dorma=perfection, Beniamino Gigli singing I Pescatori di Perle.

Contemporary-Muse, Coldplay, 3 Doors Down-Kryptonite! Mumford and Sons! Celtic awesomeness!! WOLFMOTHER- Colossal, Joker and the Thief!

Meatloaf- Bat out of Hell!

I also love early Metal! Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Dio and Judas Priest!

Old school country music like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers.

Soundtracks:The Lord of the Rings- Howard Shore, The Hannibal Soundtrack-Hans Zimmer is spectacular! Danny Elfman, Nightmare Before Christmas.

I believe that personal growth is reaching out to others, listening and respecting that person's right to formulate their own opinion without being burdened by judgment or criticism and choosing what if any of that information has personal relevance or significance to you.

I also believe there is nothing in the world more elegant and artistically fulfilling than the singular perfection of creating a well turned phrase! One day, I hope to perfect that art. For now, I shall aspire.

Things I hate:

The telephone!

Self-important or pretentious people, know-it-all's can be tedious...very tedious.

Political Correctness- Come on people...it's only Life! Don't take it so seriously!

Anyone who feels the need to judge others or to foist their political or religious views on everyone around them. You don't have to agree with everyone's opinion but you should be respectful of their right to their own ignorance lol!

If you enjoy my writing (or if you don't and have constructive criticism), please review! I love feedback so any and all comments and/or advice you have to offer would be taken in the same generous spirit by which it was offered! My many thanks!
