Author has written 4 stories for Silence of the Lambs/Hannibal. Greetings and welcome to my little corner of Fanfiction. My name is Taylor, I go senior to school in Australia and I'm an art student and aspiring artist. I go to school - that's the extent of my training, really. I'm sixteen and have a teeny-tiny obsession with Sir Anthony Hopkins. I'd watch him in anything. A/N: For those of you following Dream of Me, you may have noticed that it has gone from 28 chapters to 15. Don't fret, the content is all there, but it's new and improved. I've combined chapters and written some more, changed some facts, etc, so it might be worth your time to skim over the old chapters so the new ones make sense. Just a suggestion :) Thanks for reading! Things I love in a fic... When the author is able to capture the characters identity and portray it in detail in their writing. Happy Endings! Angst, realism, believable lemons, correct grammar and punctuation, cliffhangers, stories with a gripping story line and lots of delectable plot twists. Things I cannot stand in a fic... When authors make the Good Doctor abusive, rude, ungentlemanly, etc. The misspelling of Hannibal Lecter's name. When the Doctor develops a more than friendly attraction for a young girl... or boy. What I don't normally read... Stories about Lecter and Starling raising a child. Fics in which Lecter or Starling are killed. Stories set before the Doctor's incarceration. What I simply refuse to read... Hannibal Rising fics. Stories in which Clarice Starling plays a single mother, abandoned and all alone with Hannibal's child - and visa versa. It sounds incredulous but I have encountered quite a collection. Really, I never imagined Lecter to be that type of man to knock up the only woman I can picture him being with, and then leaving her to fend for herself while caring for his child. Favorite books/authors... Thomas Harris. Harlan Coben! Caught and Play Dead especially. Dan Brown, Laurie Halse Anderson, Stephen King, Jerold Richert- The Novels of Africa- Wilbur Smith, J.R.R. Tolkien, E.M. Forster, J.K. Rowling, and the list goes on. Favorite Movies/characters... Silence of the Lambs! I enjoyed the movie 'Hannibal' but I hate the ending with a passion. I would have loved for them to have ended up together in the movie. Lecter and Starling, obviously. The Harry Potter series. Severus Snape! Shadowlands, The Lion King, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid - whatever - you're never too old for a good Disney movie. What I dislike in general... Judgement, ignorance, arrogance, shopping, country and western music, screaming, being told to calm down, bitchiness. Babies, children, parents who don't feel the need or are too lazy to discipline their children and let them run wild like they belong in a zoo. Liars. Manipulative people. Even though I live within five minutes of the beach, I hate the ocean. What I love... Intellectual conversation, having my opinion changed, being alone. Freezing cold showers at two in the morning. Being able to be with someone and not talk, but simply enjoy each other's company. People's eyes. I have a strange obsession with mustaches, walruses, supporting local bands. My cat, George. Rings, sketching, drawing, walking on train tracks, piercings, constructive criticism, collar bones, owls, the guitar, when my lovely dysfunctional family can all get together for a day with no one throwing a hissy fit, spines, and sleep. A few things about myself... I rant at least once a week about how incompetent Riddley Scott is. I want three tattoos - so far. I think Australian slang should be called dingo lingo. I love all kinds of music - except country and western. Contrary to popular belief, I don't know a single Australian who barbecues their shrimp. In fact, I dare say we're more prawn people. I'm a very awkward person. The only movie I have ever cried my eyes out for is Shadowlands. Seeing Tony holding the little boy and simply sobbing never fails to break my heart and bring me to tears. I love to meet new people so if you feel like a friendly discussion or my opinion on something, just send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP. You can contact me here or through tumblr if you're feeling adventurous - city-of-crows@tumblr.com I'm a proud fan of Justin Bieber - haters gon' hate. Potatoes gon' potate. My Grandfather is an author. His name is Jerold Richert. He has written several novels, four of which have been published. The Flamingo Room, The Pilot, Bracelet of the Morning and Operation Rosie are all incredible books and well worth reading. The link to his website: http://www.jeroldrichert-novels.com/ It would be worth your time to check it out. I look forward to travelling to America and True Blood Season Six. When I see one of my fics on someones profile under favorites, I can't help but smile like a complete loser. I become extremely protective when anyone criticizes the Good Doctor or the brilliant actor who made his image. My favorite quotes: "She offered herself to the big bad wolf and didn't scream when he took the first bite." -Wintergirls, Laurie Halse Anderson. "Write something worth reading or do something worth writing about." - Benjamin Franklin. "The most intense joy lies not in the having, but in the desiring. Delight that never fades... bliss that is eternal... is only yours when what you most desire is just out of reach." -Shadowlands, Movie. "Do you believe a man could become so obsessed with a woman from a single encounter?" "Would he daily feel a stab of hunger for her, and find nourishment at the very sight of her? I think so. Would she see through the bars of his plight and ache for him?" - Hannibal, Movie. "I've always liked The Sound Of Music - who doesn't? - but I've always found one song particularly dumb. One of the classics actually. 'My Favorite Things'. Ask a zillion people to list their favorite things and how many of them are going to list doorbells for crying out loud? You know what Millie? I love doorbells! To hell with walking on a quiet beach or reading a great book or seeing a Broadway musical. Doorbells Millie. Doorbells punch my ticket. Sometimes I just run up to people's houses and press their doorbells and well, I think I'm man enough to admit I shudder." - The Final Detail, Harlan Coben. This account is dedicated to the companionship of Special Agent Clarice Starling and Doctor Hannibal Lecter. Thomas Harris, I cannot thank you enough. | |||||||
