Hi everyone!

I'm ReflectedGrace.

I am an American student. I'm older than 15 (by quite a bit) but younger than 30. :-)

I was inspired to get an account and write fanfic by some of the exceptional authors that write here and their stories (see my favorites!) and hope to be a decent writer myself!

I'm waiting for the day when when the series comes along that I can wholeheartedly ship the canon!pairing...but unfortunately...I always latch onto some obscure or hopeless pairing and root for it like crazy. *sigh*

I've loved reading and watching TV since I was young, so my tastes are pretty eclectic! I love to overanalyze, gather evidence for my own interpretations (or talk about why they should work...), and be a fan in general. As John Green said, being a nerd is about being enthusiastic, and I love the freedom to gush about how a characters moved me, or a pairing inspired me.

I'm learning a lot about writing, and flexing my fanfic wings. I adore reviews, and constructive critiscism is always welcomed. (I'll try to take it well, I will!) If you phrase it in a way that shows that you like the story, but want to help me polish my skills, that always makes it better. :-)

I may be slow in posting, because of school, so you've been warned!

You want to know my stances on fandoms? Here's a list (long but inadequate) skimming the surface...:-)

Fandoms:

Anime/Manga (it's what got me back onto ff.net, so it's going first. :-)

Ouran High School Host Club: The love! The sparkles! The roses! The sensibly awesome heroine Haruhi! Okay, and my favorite: All the jokes at fandom and shipping! Squee! I'm so guilty of all of it. (except for the moe/yaoi squee. Not my scene.)
Favorite Hosts: Kyoya and Mori...Kyoya, oh you glasses-wearing dark-haired bombshell...he's portrayed as a little evil for me, I prefer to see the good guy in him that Haruhi does (head!canon: he is a softie) Mori: I'm a SUCKER for his tall, dark, and silent. And muscles...(head!canon: he is the only one Haruhi can lean on, and feel like a girl around.)

Ranma 1/2: First manga ever read...love this crazy bunch of characters. Ranma, Akane, Ukyo, Ryoga, and the whole Tendo family are my favorites. I feel free to crack!ship anyone and everything, since, bascially the entire series is CRAAAACK itself. (Rumiko Takahashi's art? To DIE FOR. Srsly.)
Favorite Pairings: Ranma/Akane, Ryoga/Ukyo, and love me some Ryoga/fem!Ranma (sooo cute! Read "The Shrine and Motel of the Goddess of Love" in my favorites. BEST. EVER.), Ranma/alternate Tendo sister (has to be well-written), and open to any crack!pairing.

Fruits Basket: Tohru's a bit spacey, but to me this series is a shoujo Ranma 1/2. Full of bishonen, but with the crazy family curse plot-device and random traveling characters. (the whole angsty tragic backstory I can DO WITHOUT.)
Favorite characters: Besides Tohru, Kyo and Yuki, I love Arisa, she is KICK-BUTT. Her voice, her Yankee ways, and how she calls Kyo, Orange-top. :-) I ship her with Kyo or Yuki. Hatori, with his mature, angtsy, seahorse self stole my heart away. I ship him with Tohru (plugs ears, la-la-la, what age difference?) Momiji, because he's Honey-chan, if Honey-chan really pursued girls. Like a pervert-in-training, ala Momi-chan does...:-) Hatsuharu, because the whole good-boy, bad-boy things is attractive. Two-toned hair, ftw. Shigure, because he's HILARIOUS. (I want to ship him with his frazzled agent/publisher so bad!)

Hetalia: Concept: Personifications of countries and their historical adventures. I'm in! This fandom is huge, and gets so much grief! But I can't resist the characters...I can handle *some* of the yaoi stuff but I have a penchant for genderbent!Hetalia, and prefer the rare het pairings and weird pairings. (I just think this fandom doesn't let the guys be guys very often...)
Favorite Characters: Germany. He and his stoic but loyal nature, self-discipline I would kill for, chiseled physique ice-blue eyes. *sigh* (P.S.: straightest guy ever. which is why I ship Germanyxfem!Ita so hard...Y isn't it more popular?) Liechtenstein (So sweet, but head!canon says she is kick-butt. Trufax.) Hungary, Switzerland, Austria (blame Konstantya, and go read her fics) The Baltics: Sweden (Nordic version of Germany. WITH GLASSES!) Finland (becaue I lived there for two years! Hyvaa Paivaa!) Denmark, Prussia (couldn't resist the awesome) Hungary, Spain (the bad touch trio is worming its way into my heart), Japan, N. and S. Italy (when they are with people...:-) France (when he is not being a man!whore, which is always. :-P) and last but not least, America! (I love his genuine heart, and enthusiasm. :-)

Favorite pairings: Germanyxfem!Italy (my OTP. For real. GerIta I can see, but I want to see Germany all flustered by the adorable girl Veniziano makes. :-), TurkxHun (Just read "Young Man, I believe you are Dying" in my favorites. YOU WILL CONVERT.) PrussiaxHungary (based on anime...Prussia was so embarassed and (sort-of) gentlemanly with her!) AustriaxHungary (Canon!!! Shocker), fem!USA/anyone. (I love Femerica, and how all countries can like her...:-) SwitzxLiech, Liechtenstein/anyone (love to see the different combos...) RomanoxBelgium (this is practically canon...and almost no fic!) USxUK genderbent in anyway, Francexgenderbent character (because France is famous for being a lover of women...yet he's such a pedophile and man!whore in the series! Love seeing a gentler version of France. Though I can see FRuk being UScan's parents. Too cute!)

TV Shows: (In TV shows...prepare for much out-of-canon-ness...I go to fanfiction because I need things to BE DIFFERENT. :-)

Doctor Who: Such a fan...I could go on forever. British sci-fi TV show, revived back to being massively popular recently, and spread to the US (finally!) with it's latest season. Matt Smith, as of Season 5, was my favorite Doctor...Season 6? Honestly, not doing as much for me...but I blame Amy. And River-Song. :-P
Favorite Doctor: Numbers 2 ,3 (Pertwee yes!),4 (first Doctor!), 5, 8 (LOVE Paul McGann), 10, and now 11. :-)
Companions: Jo, Sarah-Jane, Romana II, Rose (no hating!), Martha I've come around to...and Donna! Love me some Donna Noble! (Not big on Amy or River-Song.)
Pairings: The crackier the better... Doctor/Rose (9/Rose, or 8/Rose) all!Doctors/Rose, 10/Donna (she's his match!), Martha/Master (so much dark crack!), 3/Jo, 4/Sarah-Jane, 4/Romana II, and finally, Romana II/human!10...never seen it, but I have a plot bunny!

30 Rock: So funny, but recently I think the shows has not been as good...because Tine Fey is denying the Jack/Liz! :-)
Favorite pairings: Jack/Liz (naturellement, I consider them canon. :-P) and weirdly enough Wesley/Liz (because Michael Sheen is too cute. :-)

Stargate: Sg-1, Atlantis, all except the most recent...mainly watch/read, never wrote anything for it. My opinion is, the writers cannot write a relationship in (any) of these series to save their lives!! (Seriously, Sam and PETE! And I thought *fangirls* were supposed to be on crack...) So, granted, all of my pairings are cracktastic.
Favorite Pairings: SG-1: Sam/Daniel (yup, this is as canon as I get. :-), Sam/Cam (my new OTP!), Sam/Jonas (so. much. cute.)
Atlantis: John/Elizabeth, Carson/Teyla, Teyla/Ronan, John/Sam (yeah, Sam is everywhere, always a bridesmaid and never a bride...*sigh*)

Ugly Betty: So, I ship the canon pairing of this show IN EVERY COUNTRY WHERE IT'S AIRED BUT THE US! How unfair is that? Okay, the ending gave us a Daniel/Betty hint, but I wanted more.
Favorite Pairing: Daniel/Betty. 'Nuff said.
